Sharpen the knife and defeat the ATS little devil (resume and experience sharing)
Later, I found out that it was blocked by ATS (application tracking systems). On average, 70-75% of the resumes were forced out at this level. ATS is a software commonly used by HR in the company. This software is mainly to help the recruiting team screen out more suitable candidates. After all, HR may receive thousands of resumes every day.
What I want to share with you today is how to make it easy for candidates to pass the first level of Little Devil ATS. No matter what stage of your resume, you can refer to it
Let's start with the format
Basically, the ATS system will perform content text analysis, so avoid putting tables, pictures, vector graphics and other materials into the resume (simple bulletpoint can be used). Maybe you want to show your creativity or innovation ability through your resume, but this may cause the system to judge the resume as garbled when the resume is in the first stage, which makes it impossible to filter the resume.
In addition, you can choose more common fonts, such as: Arial, Calibri, Garamond. Choose Serif-like words, such as: Georgia, it makes people feel more stable and reliable. If you want to present a more modern and concise sense, you can choose words like San Serif, such as: Roboto.
The choice of font size is between 9-11. Too large fonts may make people feel that the content is not solid enough, and too small fonts will make people read poorly. Finally, after the content is completed, the output format can be either PDF or Word.

keywords
Keywords include the skills required for this position, as well as related professional terms & terms.
Take the Insights & Analytics Analyst (Consumer Insights) position as an example, in the job description, you can find that the keyword "data" appears 10 times, followed by keywords such as PPC (pay per click), Revenue, Analytics/Analysis, etc. So the next thing to think about is: what % of these terms do I understand? (Of course ~ do not need 100% understanding), am I capable of doing it? What are my past experiences that overlap or are similar to this position?
Then there is the finishing touch, retouching the resume, and putting words such as PPC, Revenue, Analytics into the resume. These key keywords can be reused many times. If you don't have the exact experience, you can fill in similar keywords, such as: advertising, marketing. (i.e. use a broader noun)
position Name
ATS also looks at the job title on the resume as one of the screening items, so just keep the relevant job title and delete irrelevant or outdated information (stories from 15 years ago don't need to be mentioned)
You can use the Resume Assistant function on Word to view some job-specific “Experience” templates, extract some keywords or experience that can be applied to yourself, and query similar job titles to further modify and adjust the past. The job title is in line with the position to be applied for this time, that is to say, if you are applying for the position of Marketing specialist today, and there is work experience in Promotion specialist on your resume, then it is recommended to change Promotion Specialist to Marketing specialist, otherwise ATS may judge it as not matching .
Layouts
Just use the basic style, and put the contact information, personal summary*, education, work experience, skills (mainly hard skills) and licenses in order.
*Personal Summary is optional, if you have enough content, you don’t need to put personal Summary
If the job vacancy mentions a relevant license, and you have that license, please include the name of the license on your resume. Example: If the job title is described as PMP, then write PMP on your resume, not your full name (Project Management Professional)
little practice time
When you see a job opening, try to practice a simple content analysis to analyze the hard power, soft power, and action verbs mentioned in the job.
The above are the problems I encountered in my job search and the corresponding solutions, I hope you can get some help from them
