Christmas Eve Party
I attended a party hosted by a Taiwanese friend last night. One of the friends brought out the creamy black tea so delicious. I was determined to give up recording this party because of this sweetness all night, and I was just casually posting it on liker. Social mentioned it and finished work. When I woke up early in the morning, I saw a Youtube Link from my friend and declared that if I didn’t cry, she would immediately pay me a lot of Hong Kong dollars. As a result, I drowned myself in tears early on Christmas morning.
Last night, my Taiwanese friends were really nice. I was afraid that I would be bored. They all accompany me to discuss the news of Hong Kong, such as the very perfect election in the past, and the sneaky demolition of things at the university in the middle of the night, etc. I am really surprised that my Taiwanese friends are right Familiarity with Hong Kong, or are you cramming the news in order to have a topic with me? I don’t think so. They did read the news and had their own opinions. As a result, the party turned into a political talk show. We criticized and laughed together. I doubted that they were actually Hong Kongers in Taiwanese skins. .
"The fact that Hong Kong people don't trust the government means they don't trust the powerful party behind it. That's why there is so much non-cooperation when it comes to vaccine administration and safe travel. It depends on how much we Taiwanese people cooperate," said one of the friends.
"Yeah, no matter who is in power, most of you have different political opinions. In terms of votes, you won't ignore the public opinion and do things that hurt the people. No matter what, at least there will be a bottom line that will never be touched. It just doesn't erode freedom."
Taiwanese friends all nodded when they heard it, yes yes. Speaking of the demolition of a famous university in the middle of the night, a Taiwanese friend talked about 228. She probably wanted to comfort me that the real history cannot be erased. As we talked, we digressed. We were actually discussing whether there would be a fight. An elegant Taiwanese girl opened her lovely eyes and told me that at 921, there was a terrible shock and there was a rumbling sound outside. She was the first to tell me. One reaction was that the other side called. After we all laughed together, we began to discuss whether we should take our hiking bags and find a Baiyue to hide in in case of a fight... Before nine o'clock, I left with the child first. As soon as we leave, the shoulders of Taiwanese friends who have been tense all night will relax immediately, because the Hong Kong woman is finally gone, and she can finally start her own gossip.
Seeing Taiwanese friends discussing Hong Kong and Taiwan in high spirits, everyone has two big words written on their faces - freedom, but I feel extremely sad behind the laughter of the party. As a deserter, I always feel that The freedom I enjoy now is only a freedom that I borrowed for a short time, a freedom I enjoy with guilt. If the land I love is not free, and the conscientious hearts are still forced to beat in the cold prison, then my freedom is not freedom in the true sense. I hope we don't suffer in vain in the end!
