Suspension of the Chairman of the Christian Boys' Military Training Committee
Earlier, the Hong Kong Boys Christian Army received a complaint, and the organization's executive committee ruled to suspend the chairman of the training committee of the complainant, preacher Chen Jianrong. Preacher Chen issued a public response on the 17th, saying that the organization had never understood and communicated with the parties and had "judged before trial". The public response was to avoid excessive speculation and judgment by those who were concerned about the incident. Pastor Xie Zhijian, the mentor of the organization's 55th unit, also issued an open letter to the Hong Kong Boys' Christian Army Executive Committee and Disciplinary Team on the same day, questioning the organization's actions to encourage secret reporting and other shady behaviors.
The incident stemmed from Chen Jianrong's non-public post on Facebook on October 19, using the vulgar term "servant street" to describe a person's fall (claimed to be inspired by the Bible Jeremiah 6:15), in contrast to his theme of serving the church. "Stabilized", but the day before the post was posted, a Hong Kong government official was sent to the hospital for a fall, which caused associations.
Will Zentangle Drawing Touch the Spirit and Cause Attention?
As early as the end of last month and the beginning of this month, Pastor Li Jinbin, who claimed to be a "ghost exorcist priest", posted on his Facebook page that the new Zentangle painting will make Christians feel spiritual (commonly known as cross ghosts) (author's note: in the post 's paintings are actually bitmaps rather than Zentangles), and Emerging Religious Concerns Ministries also published a paper explaining the dangers. It coincides with the Zen-Tang painting experience workshop held in the Christian Forest of Taofeng Mountain, which has aroused criticism from some believers and pastors in the church. This week, believers and pastors continued to respond publicly.
