A Few Questions To Ask About God, I Mean, Ask Yourself First (11)
This question was not originally intended to be raised so early, but a primary one child asked this question, which made me think I had to think about it.
But this question is very important, and it is one of the very core theological issues. I have thought about it for a long time, and I have searched for a lot of information, and then I have ruled out most of the information. All I can say is that most of the answers are very unsatisfactory, and I'm not just referring to Christian discourse, because this proposition appears in all religions and even becomes the key to believing and not believing.
"Will your prayers be answered?"
This is a very Christian sentence, otherwise I will change the method statement:
"Will it be effective if you pray?"
This is a big question. I often hear people chatting and talking about things going wrong, and then someone will suggest where he can worship, and I heard that there is very spiritual and so on. Of course, there are fortune-telling, direct suggestion rituals, and so on.
Yes, this is simply the core topic of seeking religious assistance, although I did not come this way at all, because from the very beginning, my purpose was to find the truth, and I did not think about seeking any protection or any benefit. The truth itself is the reward.
But I know very well that people like me are rare, but because of this, there are more bystanders.
As always, before answering a question, I try to confirm what the question itself is asking.
In other words, change the title to become:
"Does God have to listen to you?"
Yes, this is my favorite question, that is, if you ask, it will definitely come true, then who is God? Do you treat the genie as a god? Not right! God Ding elves are "slaves" (the original is slave)!
Then it becomes a very troubled state, because many people do use this to preach, no matter what kind of teaching, in short, it tells you to believe in a religion to achieve your wish, whether you want peace of mind, make a lot of money, or take a hundred exams Points can be removed and the like.
By the way, "non-religion" is more practical in this regard. After all, he regards himself as a god, and "being a god" is naturally because he is "not a god", but he may give some practical advice, such as finding a doctor or not. Going to find a job, although that would be religiously incompetent, would be troublesome if you really thought of him as a god.
Interestingly, this kind of self-awareness is also reflected in other religions, because we "humans" are actually very aware of the fact that "if you don't ask for it, it will be given to you". Yes, for example, donating more money and so on, some of the criminal acts of the gods started from here.
I asked my two little devils this question, and they gave me the standard answer the pastor gave them:
- Don't ask in vain: If what you ask for is wrong, then it is useless to ask.
- When the time is not yet, God will answer, but not when - maybe even after death.
I was a little surprised, because the pastor only gave these two answers, and there was obviously a third, and the most important one.
Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Kesemane gave us a clear explanation, "You may ask, but God will not give; He will surely hear your prayer, but God has the best arrangement". Note that the "best" arrangement, without comparisons, is the best, but probably not what you want.
For the primary one, I would answer like this:
God hears all your prayers. In fact, He is right next to you with us. But if you ask for something that is not good for you, God will not give it to you, or give it to you in no hurry, but more importantly It is possible that God will give you something better and have a better arrangement.
Do you remember when you asked your parents for something? If you want to eat candy, they may think that it will cause tooth decay, so they won't give it to you, or they may give you after eating, or give you more nutritious and delicious snacks.
God will give you the best, more than you can imagine.
For older kids, though, I'll add:
Of course, what God gives you may also be what you don't want. You know, the point is not what you want, but what God wants .
Be sure to make it clear that God is not your servant, it is human beings who serve God, not God serving human beings. When asking questions, don’t take a wrong stand. God doesn’t need us, so what you receive from God is grace, which comes for nothing. . What He wants to give you, you can get without worshipping Him. What He doesn't give you, you never have to think about it.
This is also reflected in the choice of words. The Christian words are "prayer", "received" and "answered", so it is an action of pleading, listening, and granting, but "worship" and "effectiveness" are a transaction process. You pay, and then you get the benefits. If it doesn’t work, you worship another god, or add more money, bid, or bribe.
This character is very different, and it is far from heaven and earth, which also means that the definitions of God in different religions are actually far from heaven and earth.
But no matter what you ask for, whether to give or not is still according to his original plan, do you think it's a waste to believe in such a god? The point is here, does God exist if you don’t believe it? The point is not whether you have received any benefits. Believing in God does not require those benefits. The point is that knowing the Creator is the source of greatest satisfaction in itself. Having true faith and being close to the Supreme Being is itself the greatest reward.
Walking with God does not mean that you will be safe and sound, but that you will always know that you are connected to the Supreme Being, that you are as peaceful in the midst of adversity, and that you are still grateful in the midst of prosperity, because everything is arranged for the best, and the purpose is to Do God's will -- not yours.
There are many times in the Bible that God doesn't need your sacrifice and doesn't need your sacrifice, because He doesn't lack at all.
All he wants is you and nothing else.
There is nothing to give back to God other than giving yourself.
Will I pray to God, ask God? Of course I do, literally all the time, because He has already promised me, not that I want something, but that He is already with me.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
