Can vaccines really prevent severe illness?

In the past few days, the number of confirmed cases has increased, and everyone has become more and more panicked. I rarely watch the news. After all, news in Taiwan is reported selectively, but today I read it a little and found something interesting.

I wrote an article before, people who have adverse reactions to vaccines come in and take a look! Fortunately, most people seem to be fine after being vaccinated, health is blessing. However, I heard the media and government officials persuade everyone to get vaccinated, and even the reason for complete vaccination is to reduce the risk of moderate and severe cases, but as an engineer, seeing the recent data, I couldn’t help but analyze it.

Among the severe deaths announced on 5/11, 2 of the 7 cases had received 3 doses of the vaccine and had no history of chronic diseases. In addition, 2 severe cases received 2 doses of vaccine.

Let's take a look at the number of cases of moderate disease. The number of cases of moderate disease who received 3 doses of vaccine is actually more than the number of unvaccinated cases!

Then look at the statistics of 5/12. Of the 12 deaths, 7 cases received 3 doses of vaccine, 2 cases received 2 doses, and 2 cases of severe cases received 3 doses of vaccine. The number of cases of moderate disease is still more than those who received 3 doses of the vaccine than those who have not been vaccinated.

I, who have read the research institute, will come to the conclusion at this time that vaccination cannot completely avoid moderate and severe disease, so the correlation between vaccination can reduce the risk of moderate and severe disease is not high, so people who have not been vaccinated should not be discriminated against. It seems that the epidemic is serious because of people who are not vaccinated.

Recently, I have often wondered whether we will live in a Truman world. Many young people should not know the movie "The Truman World". You can Google it yourself. In short, you think you make the decision, but in fact it is is arranged.

Leaving one's comfort zone is painful, and accepting a point of view that is different from one's own will also conflict, but Descartes said "I think, therefore I am", in the vernacular, "I think, therefore I exist", which I thought was correct before. Concepts, maybe many years later when the human world is more advanced, they will find that they are actually wrong, so there is no absolute right or wrong. No matter which argument you support, mutual respect is the most important, and there is no need to attack each other.
