About coffee

When I was working in an Australian coffee shop in the early days, I didn't have much interest in making desserts. I just learned coffee knowledge and practical exercises, and my life was full of coffee enthusiasm. After a few years, I took this experience and enthusiasm. I went to work in a coffee shop in a European country. In addition to making coffee, I also made desserts, Danish bread and croissants. I also started to get in touch with desserts.

Compared with Taiwan, life abroad is always more leisurely. Besides working in a coffee shop, the place to go is a coffee shop.

about eating

I would take my computer or a paper notebook to my favorite coffee shop on vacation, order a latte and a piece ( or two? ) of cake, and sit for an entire afternoon.

And then I like "eating" desserts, because it can relax me when I'm busy recording work, I can feel happy when I'm in a bad mood, and when I eat super delicious desserts, I can even feel relaxed. Makes me happy!

About foreign desserts

I started with a small coffee shop near my house, then searched for a coffee shop I liked across cities, and then took a plane to a neighboring country during the holidays to continue tasting; taking a low-cost airline in Europe is as fast as taking a high-speed train in Taiwan, and it takes three to five days to go back and forth. It's pretty normal.

Desserts in Australia and Europe are sweet, but I am not an ant. I can’t accept desserts that are too sweet, but when I walked into a coffee shop and saw the desserts in the cake cabinet, I couldn’t help but want to try it. How would you know if it is suitable if you don’t try it? What about your taste? Sure enough... so sweet!

But not every store's desserts are so sweet and greasy. I have eaten dessert coffee shops of all sizes, whether it is a famous local shop or a small private shop with no reputation. I finally came to the conclusion that just like in Taiwan, famous is not necessarily delicious. oh! Sometimes it's the humble little shop that suits your appetite!

About dessert making

After returning to Taiwan, I started to taste desserts at coffee shops in various places.

As I said before, I am not an ant, so what I like must be to reduce sugar and oil, and to have delicious desserts, and to be able to eat the natural ingredients, let alone fake chemical flavors.

Nowadays, Taiwanese people pay attention to health, so I believe that the ingredients used by some well-known stores are not bad, but apart from cinnamon rolls and fresh cream cakes, I have not eaten really authentic scones and keli. Dew, Basque cheese and carrot cake, even a famous store.

In the past two years, the epidemic has become more and more serious. It is really difficult to go abroad to eat the desserts that I miss! Also because I wanted to eat it too much , I finally decided to recreate the emotion I had at that time! Combining what I've learned in Europe with local recipes, insisting on cutting down on sugar and cutting down on sugar will still taste perfect! Only started to have WhiteDay / White Dessert Studio.

Finally, about fat

In addition to eating desserts abroad, I also eat a lot of local delicacies. Europe is too big, and many countries and cities have many unique delicacies of their own. How can I not eat them and travel the world? But because of this, it is also true that I gained 6.7 kg at that time.
