The experimental site is a 500-mu field supported by the Zhengrong Public Welfare Foundation. We can build simple shelters, toilets, toiletries, water trucks, generator coils, and vegetables here, and we can also bring our own tents, cooking utensils, daily necessities...

Within 3 months, within 150 people, can we create a micro-ecosystem that is friendly to nature.

After 3 months, regardless of the experimental results, all buildings and daily necessities were withdrawn, and everything returned to the initial state.

All experimental members can move freely or rent in nearby villages.

Next year, keep experimenting.

*This year's experiment has added a new link compared to previous years. Before arriving at the scene, it is necessary to conduct a remote discussion , and count, allocate and divide the various living materials that need to be prepared without going down the mountain for three months. In the event of an epidemic that cannot be reached at the scene, the analysis results will be sorted and shared.

 As a consensus community experiment, "Southern Life" was jointly initiated by the Homeland Project (AnotherLand) and the Zhengrong Public Welfare Foundation in 2015. Made up of social possibility explorers from around the world. Aiming to explore an example of a community based on a common social mission or way of life without the background of geography, privilege, policy, landscape, economy, education, etc. in mainland China. In Guanzhong Village in Fuzhou, we welcome all friends who share the same thoughts.


Here, everyone is engaged in ecological architecture, farming, natural education, wetland conservation, sustainable design, artistic creation, applicable technology, environmental protection daily necessities, restoration of ancient houses, etc., and devotes themselves to their own pursuits and ideals.

This experiment plans to take at least 20 years to form a consensus and make the community sustainable.

We welcome community "initiators" rather than "joiners" to conduct life experiments here. All collective relations and public affairs are formed by permanent residents, who have lived with residents for more than one year and become official residents through residents’ votes, obtaining land, the right to use public funds, the right to vote and the right to propose changes to the rules. We prefer to have the ability to live independently, have a certain sense of social mission, and plan to live long-term partners as neighbors.
