Boxing is a very risky sport. Boxers will wear red or blue pants so that they can be easily identified by the boxing certificate and the audience. The dimensions of the arena in the official competition shall be 6.10 x 6.10 meters and the floor height of the arena shall not be less than 90 cm or higher than 120 cm.

The arena should provide 3 sets of ladders in the opposite red and blue corners, one for each competitor's use; the other ladder is set up in the neutral corner for the referee and the sideline doctor to use. Place small opaque plastic bags on the 2 neutral corners of the ring to provide cotton or cotton pads for players to stop bleeding.

[Indication: Amateur fly class 115 lbs] Boxing is a heavyweight sport. Both opponents must be close weight groups. Professional boxers should "weight" at the designated time on the day of the boxing match. If a boxer is overweight, he should try to lose weight within two hours. Each fighter can bring three assistants to assist the fight. But only two assistants can get on the ring. And only allowed one of them to enter the boxing ring.

Before entering the ring, players need to wear designated equipment: mouthguard, crotch protector, boxing gloves

There are two types of games. For example, "Olympics" is one of the more well-known amateur sports. "Amateur" does not mean unprofessional. Often a highly skilled amateur fighter will transfer to a higher-paying professional group after many years.

Professional boxers have a certain appearance fee. Win or lose, there is a negotiated income. Of course there may be prize money for winning the game. The biggest difference is that the amateur game has only 3 rounds, while the professional game is not limited to 4 to 12 rounds after negotiation between the two parties.

The current scoring system used in all competitions is "ten-point scoring". 5 judges will be pre-selected at random. 3 more judges will be selected from 5 judges before the start of each match. Only the scores of the 3 judges drawn will count towards the final score. The winner of the round must have 10 points and the loser has a maximum of 9 points or a minimum of 6 points.

The results can be scored as follows: 10:9 is similar in strength, 10:8 is a clear winner...and so on. Total after all rounds are over. The highest scorer wins. The referee on the stage, he is responsible for refereeing in the ring, and will not be responsible for scoring.

The allowable hits include: the front/side of the head, above the waist and the front/side of the upper body. It's a foul to use your feet!

KO Knockout

After one side receives a heavy blow or consecutive blows, any part of the body other than the feet touches the ground as a KO. In addition, if a player falls on the rope or his limbs go beyond the rope, it will also be counted as a KO.

When one side is "down", the referee on the stage should immediately issue a stop password and count down 10 times. The knocked-down fighter stands up before the referee reads 3 seconds, loses only 1 point, and then stands up after 3 seconds and loses 2 points. Even if the athlete signals that the referee is still forced to read 8 seconds before continuing the game.

If a player is knocked out multiple times in the same round, they can only lose a maximum of 4 points. If he can't get up for 10 seconds after being knocked down, the referee can order him to be knocked down and lose the game.

If the bout is terminated due to a KO or a blow to the head, the punching doctor will decide the duration of the suspension based on the severity of the injury. He/she will be forced to rest for at least 30 days during the mandatory suspension before he/she can participate in the next bout.

TKO Technical Knockout

Although there is no fall to the ground, the referee decides that one side cannot continue the game.

  1. For example, if the athlete voluntarily gave up the competition due to injury during the competition, the coach threw a towel into the ring or climbed to the edge of the ring, and it would also be judged as a technical knockout to win the TKO.
  2. When an athlete is unable to resume play immediately after resting between rounds, his opponent may be declared a TKO.

  1. The referee can also terminate the game when one side is obviously at a disadvantage or has received too many heavy blows and it is not suitable to continue the game to allow the opponent to win by TKO.
  2. If an athlete is knocked out of the ring and cannot return within 30 seconds after counting eight, the opponent will be awarded a TKO.

WO opponent did not play Walkover

  1. Literally: if one team has not played the opponent within 1 minute after the gong rang, the referee can declare the winner WO because of the non-play.
  2. Or one of the athletes can also declare WO if one of the athletes fails the medical examination or fails to pass the weighing.

Continue to improve the ranking of the competition, hone your skills and techniques, and write more victories. Then go to a sufficient qualification level to challenge the boxing champion. Of course, the world of boxing is not so narrow. There's more for you to discover.
