This book is full of love entanglements of all kinds of men and women, some are false in the name of love; some are intoxicated and decadent in love. The author writes that life is like a flower that is about to end, and its blooming appearance before withering is even more precious. "Flower Burial" may not bring any philosophy of life, but it will definitely give readers a beautiful reading experience.

The book "Flower Burial" was originally serialized in the "Phantom City" magazine edited by Fu Bo in 1975, which is a publication that advocates natural reasoning. When it comes to "benge", it is common to mention the process of Japanese reasoning. Since the introduction of Western reasoning literature into Japan after the Meiji Restoration, it has experienced the baptism of different audiences, and gradually diverged from the West, forming its own faction and occupying a place in the Japanese literary circle. From the Enlightenment to the writer Edogawa Ranpo’s creation of the Benge novel belonging to Japan in 1923, Japanese reasoning has undergone several changes, namely “Enlightenment >> Benge School >> Social School >> New Benge School >> Diversity” .

This is an old version, a new version will be published later https://www.books.com.tw/products/0010897827?sloc=main

The "Benge School" emphasizes logic and technique, and takes solving cases as fun. The content is romantic and bizarre. The representative writers are Edogawa Ranpo and Henggou Masashi. The "social school" reasoning was founded in the 1950s by the writer Matsumoto Kiyocho, who advocates realism, so his works focus more on social issues, get rid of complicated tricks, and focus on the depiction of motives and human nature. Before entering the "New Bengue School" in 1987, Bengue's works declined due to a single routine, and were replaced by socialist reasoning as the mainstream. "Phantom City" magazine was one of the promoters trying to revive Bengue's reasoning at that time.

...like a fleeting flower in a page of "Taisho"'s dark history, blooming only to wither. —P.191 <Returning to Sichuan for Love>

"Flower Burial" contains a total of eight reasoning stories, namely "Fragrance of the Vine", "House of Campanulaceae", "Tong Coffin", "White Lotus Temple", "Returning to Sichuan for Love", "Hua Fei Characters", " "Yu Hagi's Love" and "Chrysanthemum Dust", as the name suggests, the stories must be based on flowers, but the flowers here combine the Japanese aesthetics of "Mosai", which will timely empathize the characters' sorrow and love to the scenery related to flowers In terms of changes, and because the author believes in the "Pure Land True Sect", there is always a vicissitudes of view of the world when talking about love. The background of the book revolves around the short Taisho period (1912–1926), from the death of the emperor to the decline of the flower street. Although the characters appearing in each story are different, they all have the repressive character of Japan that cannot be overstepped. This arrangement not only has a classical style, but also understands the characters' behavior of succumbing to the torrent of the times. In terms of reasoning structure, "The Burial of Flowers" adopts "narrative tricks". The plot always unfolds after the incident, and the incident is traced back from the first-person perspective. It is not until the last moment that key evidence appears to overthrow the established facts.

The only thing that is regrettable is that not every turn of the mystery is convincing and wanting to be applauded. But the fascinating part of the book is not solving the puzzles, but the pictures created between the lines. The artistic conception that combines emotion and scenery is so beautiful that you can't breathe. It is not the beauty that is simply piled up with beautiful words, but the right intertwining of people, flowers and the world. For the time being, Hua Xie has the hope of returning to life, but life is gone forever, so I can't help but sigh about the helplessness and insignificance of fate. Such a rich and artistic writing is also the reason why Liancheng Sanjiyan is classified as a "New Danmei School". I have to praise the translation of the Taiwan version, which retains the delicacy and beauty in the book.

Here are a few of my favorite stories:

<Tong Coffin>

The darkness behind them suddenly condensed, and the moonlight dyed the tatami pale, just like the woman's house, and two overlapping figures appeared. The big brother's big shadow swallowed my shadow, and when I fell on the tatami with a slight sway, the fragrance of the woman that had attached to me a moment ago poured out from my chest.
Although I have only seen tung flower on the flower card, I don't know why, but I always feel that it tastes very similar to tung flower. -P.105 <Tong Coffin>

This is about the love-hate relationship between the underworld eldest brother Nukita and the dead brother's woman. There is an indelible crime and an inextricable love between the two, which leads to the two sides falling in love and killing each other, betting on who will kill first all the time. kill each other. I like the character of the younger brother very much. He shuttles between the elder brother and Xihe to have a relationship with each other to convey the twisted love of the two. This bond is both beautiful and bleak.

"Return to Sichuan for Love"

The flowers caught up with the boat, encircled the ends of the boat's rim, and then flowed forward. White and purple are interwoven into various patterns, as if putting on flower clothes for the river at night. I drew illusory lines in front of my eyes, flowers from the darkness and flowing to the dark, like the countless sentences of thousands of songs left by Yuan Tian, and also like the embers of the lives of women who had a relationship with Yuan Tian. —P.239 <Returning to Sichuan for Love>

I like this one the most, the mystery and the meaning are well written, and it is well deserved to win the 34th Japan Mystery Writers Association Award. "Returning to Sichuan for Love" tells the story of the genius singer Yuan Tian and his different lovers before and after. When I first saw such a setting, I couldn't help but wonder if it was alluding to Osamu Dazai, a writer who had an appointment with women to die, but the ending was completely unexpected. In the first half, I was also impressed by the singer's deep affection, and I was moved by the beauty embodied in the waka. similar thing.

"Yu Hagi's Martyrdom"

"Anyway, our road is dark after all..."
The woman's white back hidden in the dark awn grass, appears and disappears in the flowers.
Looking back now, those petals were their last words to me who met me on the way to death. However, when I was young, I didn't notice it, I only remembered seeing the dreamlike and indescribable beauty through the flower. I stared at it for a long time, and even forgot to stand up. —P.294 <Xidi’s Love for Love>

"Yu Hagi's Love" is a story about a sojourn scholar Shinnosuke and a married woman, Yu, who fell in love with each other until they die. Although this is a combination of historical conspiracy, the motive is far-fetched, and I am deeply impressed. Instead, it is taboo between the two in the book. Love, especially the desire to use shadows to replace the lingering of the body, and the last figure of the couple entering the vast grass on the road to Huangquan, all give people infinite melancholy and loneliness, which can not be forgotten for a long time.
