The lawsuit between Hollywood star Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard has finally been settled. It is generally believed that in domestic violence cases, the majority of victims are cisgender women, and this case has drawn public attention to cisgender male victims.
According to the official statistics of the Hong Kong Social Welfare Department in 2020, about one out of every six victims of domestic violence is a male, and most of the victims suffered from mental abuse.
