Many friends have asked me this question - how do people who have no foundation in meditation start practicing meditation?

Before answering this question, I would also like to ask you a question - how do you start practicing talking or walking before you have learned to speak or walk? Give yourself a few minutes to think about it, and it is best to write the answer down.

We must first realize this - before we become human, we are first a life.

Before a seed takes root, sprouts, and grows into a life that we can see with the naked eye—a flower, a tree, or a person—in the proper soil, all changes begin from within that life. A life knows everything it knows from beginning to end.

And now, a mind (of course, flowers and trees can't) is asking, "I don't know how to meditate yet, how do I start practicing meditation?"

It's the same way the mind asks, "I haven't learned to talk, how do I start practicing talking?" or "I haven't learned to walk, how do I start practicing walking?"

When life is not able to ask these questions in the mind, the driving force of the inner life force has driven him to a certain point, he will take the initiative to babble, he will imitate, practice, and progress, he will naturally. Then at some point, the inner life force drives him to crawl, to stand, to spread his legs, and he will walk, then run and jump. With or without a mind, life is always what it is.

If it's not because of the inner drive in life that drives us to do something, it must be measured by the mind before we want to do it. All thought through the mind must have a purpose and a reason, because we want to get something out of it, or we want to show or prove something to the outside world.

All "doing" things, or "should doings," are often hard to stick with. And then we'll say - that doesn't work, that doesn't work for me, that's a lie...Things that we do because of our identity are usually based on karma, and this behavior deepens karmic memory , the bondage it brings will be stronger;

But if we know that we are nothing and that we just want to be a whole being, driven by our inner desire to change, we will do something, and with a devout devotion heart to do it. That is the driving force of a life that desires to grow. It has no reason or purpose. It only changes, and the result will be completely different. Such actions will gradually break karmic memories and constraints, making us more and more free.

Language is a necessary tool for human beings, but most of the time it is counterproductive. Existence is beyond the logical dimension, it cannot be expressed in words or words, it can only be experienced and felt. However, most of the time, we always put the cart before the horse, hoping to understand and approve logically first, and then start, which is on paper. Logic can never reach the level of the essence of life.

There are too many people who consider themselves to be masters of religion or spirituality. They may "walk the rivers and lakes" with the reputation and aura of the outside world, but they can't see the shadow of practitioners in their walking, living, sitting and lying down. They are at best a "scholar" who studies Buddhism or practice, or at best a "theoretician".

However, life is a real existence, and theory and knowledge cannot make life more complete. The only thing life needs is experience and experience.

How many of us would think that we are living and experiencing life, from opening our eyes in the morning until before going to bed at night? When I feel this question, I have already walked on the road of "starting".

When we are fully aware of every passing moment we are experiencing and feeling - aware of opening our eyes every morning and returning to so-called "real" life; aware of our breath; aware of how precious life is; aware of We are already a "being" as life while the Self is watching it all the way through, and it's not really a question of whether or not to meditate.

Meditation is not an end, it is just a tool. We can use it to return to our true selves. But the true self has always been there, and he will always be there. And we are asking, how can we find the true self through a tool? We also need to know how to find the tool to find the true self? It is as if we are sitting at home saying we are going to find our home, Worrying about what tools to use to find a home is just as funny and ridiculous.

Existence is so simple that there is really nothing to say, but we are too complicated to simply see a thing or simply do a thing.

We have to conceive something achievable, lofty, and difficult in our minds to feel that only by doing so can we show our own value. Otherwise it's too simple to be worth mentioning at all. But we forget that everything in the world is simple. Anyone who reduces simplicity to complexity is foolishness.

Those so-called "pursuits" are the greed of the mind. The mind needs to satisfy itself constantly, and it cannot be shut down.

A lot of people say, "Meditation is not for me because as soon as I close my eyes, my mind becomes more cluttered". It just means that they need meditation too much, they just don't know it. Because they are already in control of their own minds. One can only imagine how terrifying the outcome of a person who is controlled by the tools he uses.

Driven by karma, most of our actions are unconscious, and if we want to become conscious, we must observe our thoughts and actions. The most effective way to gradually turn unconscious behavior into conscious awareness is to remain still.

Keep the body still, keep the mind still, and when we do, we observe things - the body is always moving, the mind is always showing pictures... that's ok, keep watching them, do nothing , don't think about anything, there is no right or wrong, no good or bad, just watch them come and go.

Only when we are at a certain distance from our memory can we sit there purely and quietly, without thoughts, emotions, or actions, just watching and being aware.

The form of meditation—how to sit, how to breathe, etc., etc., is not the most important thing.

Sitting cross-legged because it is the easiest way to relax and calm us; breathing deeply and slowly because it relaxes our body and mind quickly, and counting our breaths to focus our attention...all of which are to ensure the mind and body Prerequisites for preparation.

The most important thing is that the heart must always be free of friction, and the heart must become pure and pure. Because our nature is inherently pure and bright. But it has been "contaminated" by everything worldly outside, so that the divine brilliance is obscured.

The Self is me, I am existence, and existence is everything. As long as one dwells in the state of being, the true Self, Infinity, Being, Self, Light, Brahman, Oneness, God, Jesus (whatever we call and define it, it will always be that it) will manifest automatically.

Now, sit back, be quiet, and savor each repetition. Then, learn to try to bring watching and awareness into your life even for ten minutes, half an hour, then a day, a week, a month, three months, even a year, five years, ten years... see What will happen?
