Six steps to live productively after waking up ~ my morning ritual

In these few mornings when the temperature is dropping, I always struggle in the warm bed. Should I continue to fall asleep, or should I get out of bed and start the day's itinerary? Seeing the end of the New Year's holiday, I opened my notebook, and the words I wrote at the beginning of the year seemed to remind me: "The more self-discipline, the more freedom", it's time to get on the track and start a year of self-discipline!

The plan of the day is in the morning, and it is customary to tailor a set of morning rituals for oneself before the start of the day, such as a run-up before a race. Motivated to complete each task.

The following points are my morning steps:

#1 Get up and drink a glass of warm water

Always get up slowly after pressing the alarm clock and drink at least 500 ml of warm water. This habit has been maintained silently for many years. Even if you are traveling, you still don’t forget to carry a thermos with you to add enough water.

In addition, many studies have also pointed out that drinking water every day can promote metabolism, at the same time, it can also beautify and delay aging, which can be said to be beneficial and harmless.

#2 Exercise

Starting this year, I want to add "sports" to the morning ritual. At first, it was because during the Chinese New Year, I was having a fire with my family and going to a gathering with friends. After taking in too much calories, I decided to make no arrangements one day. I spread out a yoga mat at home and played a Nintendo fitness ring, and I was sweating while breaking the level. XD After working together for many days, I found that there is no need for a reason to exercise. I move for health and enjoy the comfort after sweating profusely.

#3 Grooming

After exercising, I would freshen up, remove the sweat and dirt from my body, and put on a clean coat. This step has been carried out recently. A ten-minute shower in the morning wakes up the brain and relieves the irritability caused by the previous night. It has a similar effect of "meditation" and is helpful for work and study during the day.

#4 Organize your environment

We like to spend leisurely afternoons sipping coffee and flipping through magazines in a bright, cosy café. In contrast, we have never done the same thing in a fast-frying restaurant full of fumes and crowds.

Usually develop the habit of "breaking away" and don't hoard unnecessary items, so that you will no longer be time-consuming and troublesome when sorting out. Making the best use of things and returning them to their original places leads to greater living space, more creativity and productivity.

#5 Listen to the radio or read an article

Even if it's just three or five minutes of fragmented time, it can be put to good use. For example, I listen to the radio while doing housework; read a current news or a good article while waiting for the bus or having breakfast. Slowly develop this little habit, maybe you can read several more books this year~

#6 Make a to-do list for the day

The last step is to take out a notepad and list today's To-do list, planning to-do items and a rough schedule in black and white.

One of the purposes of the to-do list is to avoid getting into anxiety, so the content also needs to be separated and two principles: important and urgent. Instead of writing down the entire row of things to be done, it is better to list only three tasks that must be performed, so that it is clear at a glance, and it is more fulfilling to handle.

Taking advantage of a morning of vacation, I came up with this theme and wrote it. I want to build habits in life, think and act day after day, put some seasonings in the same routine, and make small changes every day to create greater benefits. In this way, life is no longer so boring.
