"The Name Engraved in Your Heart" / It is always incomplete to tell such a heart-wrenching story!

Is it because it is difficult to look directly at the pain in the bottom of my heart, so when revealing people, we need to add a little bit of embellishment that we want to happen, or is it because the past can finally be left behind, so I use a calm but incomplete expression to say such a scene. A lifetime of regrets? If there is a next time, will it be in old age, or in the next life?

Stories like "The Name Engraved in Your Heart" should have been common in the early years, and it was a long time ago that they could be talked about in the gay circle. Even though same-sex marriage has been legalized in Taiwan, it is still not easy to be able to openly disclose your sexual orientation. Even if some people are willing to extend friendly arms to people with different sexual orientations, many people still need to hide in A position where you feel safe.

When all the focus was on the two unforgettable male protagonists, I was attracted by the characters played by Lin Huimin instead. It was as if the firmness in his eyes and counting the scars on his face, talking about how they landed on his face, was a declaration. This part of the script is really well written, and Lin Huimin also plays brilliantly, and then connects to Birdy climbing up and down to escape the world's malicious intention of almost destroying himself and jumping to the next level, neither did he really fall to his death, but Fight back against the "not allowed" that pushes people into desperation.

And the background of time and space doubles this "not allowed". In the era of authoritarianism, let alone homosexuality, even heterosexual contacts will be punished by dropping out of school. In an oppressed environment, that kind of oppression will only turn more clearly to the group that is more disallowed and recognized. It seems that if you can find a high-ranking position in the class elite, you will not fall to the bottom.

Maybe to protect the people they love deeply, some people choose to push it away, abandon it, or not admit it. And some are willing to fight hard after all. But more than that, you can only engrave each other's name deeply in your heart.

But unfortunately, in the face of misses and regrets, we all want to pull hard, hoping that we can go back and pursue or re-explain the love, regret and goodbye that were not said at that time. As a result, the movie plot left a gap later, and lost the possibility of completing the story.

Why does the story have to go into a middle-aged encounter? Wouldn't it be more painful to stop at the scene where the phone was playing the theme song? Why does the story have to have a woman saying: "It's natural to like a man." It seems that in the end, she just wants to achieve this line. Why does the story have to shoot those scenic tours that look like travel shows? Why do you have to explain that "you were torn apart in every possible way because you didn't want you to suffer the same pain"? Isn't life all about having to go through it once to really feel the pain?

But fortunately, I have to say that all of Dai Liren's performances made up for the unsettled ending of this story. The one who looked back was surprised, the one who turned around and said, "I'll walk with you for a while." They were all saying, "How could I forget you so easily." Only then can this paragraph be hidden in the background of that time and space. The emotions in the heart are deeply imprinted in the minds of the audience. (It means that the height difference between young and middle-aged is too much!)

A few other confusing points:

1. Why do you have to take a boat to Magong's beach? Is there anything cut out in the middle?

2. Birdy finally had a phone call with Zhang Jiahan, what happened at home? Moved house, phone changed because of what?

"It's always incomplete to tell such a heart-wrenching story!" I wonder if it's because the story of the past 30 years that I want to tell can't be told so easily? Picking it up and picking it up is not complete enough at the end.

PS
I don't know how many people read this article. If you are interested, you can also look for "Running in the Night" twenty years ago. It has Dai Liren as well as comradeship, and the era has moved further and earlier to the early Republic era. That is a back turn, and people are separated from love in life or death!
