My opinion on Taiwan's withdrawal from the United Nations

(edited)
At that time, President Jiang Gong told Zhou Shukai, "Prepare for the worst." Then he went to the United Nations to attend an appointment to attend the 1976th plenary meeting of the United Nations to vote on "the restoration of the legitimate rights of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations". Although the United Arab Emirates and the United States supported my country to increase the time, it failed. At the moment before the vote, Zhou Shukai stepped onto the podium and announced the withdrawal of the Republic of China from the United Nations.

At the moment before the vote, Zhou Shukai stepped onto the podium and announced that the Republic of China had withdrawn from the United Nations.

Although after that, although according to the result of the vote, the Republic of China must withdraw from the United Nations, but I think it was a wrong decision to not participate in that vote with all odds. Maybe some countries want to help you in the vote, but they all announced their withdrawal, so this vote seems to be meaningless. Therefore abstained or supported the People's Republic of China in order to establish diplomatic relations with "China" in the future... Therefore, the final vote ended with 76 in favor, 35 against and 17 abstentions.

Even after so many years, there is still a lot of discussion about this matter, and the reasons for the withdrawal are even more divided. Some people say that it is to save the face of the country and not to appear to be "pulled out" and decide to withdraw on their own; Dissatisfied and pissed off... The truth of this incident is blurred, and I can't even grasp that the process in this letter is correct.

Before the vote at the General Assembly, President Chiang Kai-shek, in order to remain in the United Nations, was even willing to endure the humiliation in the form of "one China, one Taiwan", in order to allow the government to survive independently, but after withdrawing from the United Nations, anyone who established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of my country, We are about to cut off diplomatic relations with our country, why can't we bear it now? If a country is willing to establish diplomatic relations with the two sides on the basis of the political position of one China, one Taiwan, or even two Chinas, wouldn't it be better in the overall situation?

In short, I hope that the Republic of China will continue to exist as a sovereign government and shine internationally
