About "Voice"

Never before has the power of "voice and speech" been felt so clearly. It can be said that this is the source of strength that supports me to get through the day. In his novels, Ivory borrows the character's apostasy and sophistry to say: "talk talk talk, talking is power". At first, I couldn't understand it, but now I can at least understand (appreciate) two meanings.

Words and conversations have breathtaking power. Here I do not refer to the spreading influence of words, but only the influence of words themselves on people's emotions and thinking. The so-called "demagoguery", "persuasion", "thinking about it", "language encouragement", etc. all belong to the power of words, and even words can affect aspirations and beliefs. In addition, the process of "telling" is also a process of treatment, and there is a kind of "narrative therapy" in the methodology of social workers. Of course, all the premise is that you have someone to listen to.

As for sound, I am not referring to physical sound waves, but the voices of social groups/individuals in public opinion. This voice is extremely precious, especially in the current situation where the power of public opinion in society is seriously unbalanced.
