"The city of Yan wears a face coat and rides a yellow horse. The wind takes off and dust covers the streets. When I get off the horse, my nostrils are as black as smoke. Human and horse feces and sand, and the rain is muddy without saddles and knees. When a high official came calling, he hurried to avoid the Wei Alley, running wildly, sweating to the bottom of his heels. This is the case. I think of the sunset in the river village, fishing boats throwing water into the river, the sun shining into the forest, the sand is bright like snow, and the flowers are drying under the sun. Nets. The white boards and green curtains in the restaurant hide the weeping willows, and the old man took the fish and carried the urn out of the firewood gate. At this time, with three or five good friends, walking on the sand, it is absolutely better than riding a horse in Chang'an and rushing through the mud." (Tu Long, "In Beijing with Friends")

This is a letter from Tu Long and Tu Chishui.

Compared with the unhappy person who has been squatting all his life, he does not have too many obstacles in the officialdom. The place where he worked after becoming a jinshi was still romantic with poetry and wine. Whenever he visited Jiufeng, Sanmao and other places, he called himself "Xianling". But this unrestrained official attitude did not seem to delay his business. According to the "History of the Ming Dynasty", Qingpu had a good impression of him, and then he successfully entered the capital as the head of the Ministry of Rites.

At this time, it entered the 12th year of Wanli.

A head of the punishment department named Yu Xianqing specially submitted a document to the emperor accusing Tu Long, impeaching him for "promiscuousness".

I remember a cold-eyed person said that throughout the ages, there are only two best excuses for attacking political enemies, one is greed for ink, and the other is prostitution. Once attacked like this, it's hard to tell. Compared with the two, the latter is more obscure, and even if it is made clear, it becomes a joke. This time, Tu Long was accused of this. There was a reason for the incident, but there was no evidence.

Genzi is still acting in his usual way, he is a romantic genius, he has the legacy of Wei and Jin Dynasties, and he refuses to live in a well-behaved way.

Yuan Mei is also a romantic talent, but his cleverness is that he left the official circle early. Even if he attacks him, it is only a matter of personal morality.

And Tu Long is a man in the rivers and lakes, and he can't help himself.

The result of the discrimination between the two sides was that each of them played fifty big boards. Emperor Wanli refused to be entangled in this kind of Qingping after he took the lead, so he refused to check it thoroughly, and it was impossible to check it clearly. Both of the parties involved were demoted to serve the people, and the Marquis of Xiping (one of the targets of the crime of prostitution) was also fined for half a year.

Tu Long, who was in his 40s, was obviously hit with a sap. He recalled the scene of the grievance at the beginning, but after all, it was irreversible. And for the Mrs. Xiping Hou, he also felt deeply guilty.

I don't think it's really personal.

Just like the geniuses who were later accused of such crimes in the Ming Dynasty, in fact, most of them were just not prudent in their personal behavior and had an attitude towards life that longed for freedom. But in a stable society, all kinds of norms have their unchanging standards of judgment. In the era of wearing bikinis, even standing on the stage to participate in beauty pageants will not reduce the stability of participants. But what about in those conservative times? Hollywood stars, and ultimately, about lewd attacks.

"The melon field is under the plum, the ancients were careful. I hope to get this heart, not to be blamed."

In fact, at any time, the attacker and the attacked will be out of control after they get into a fight.

It is said that Tu Long passed by Qingpu when he returned to his hometown. The local elders asked him to settle down here. After he declined, he stayed for a few days before leaving. Linked to the evaluation of governance involved in this case, it really makes people doubt this kind of story. But for local officials, under the circumstances at that time, Zhang Juzheng was the most promising one, and he could not be successful. For the local government, he might not be as good as a romantic talent like Tu Long.

In the second half of his life, he still liked his own dramas and wrote the words he liked. He refused to listen to other people's persuasion, waited quietly, and returned to the officialdom again. The Ming History describes this very simply:

"Gui Yi indulges in poetry and wine, is a good guest, and sells literature as a living. The poetry and prose are inadvertent, and he flicks and counts the papers. Taste the drama and order two people to confront the case with two questions, each with a hundred rhymes, and two chapters and two chapters between each other. Playing chess, reciting poetry and prose, ordering people to write it, but the book can’t be recited.”

This is the life of Li Taibai, the talent of Li Taibai.

But he is not Li Taibai after all, and he doesn't have much ambition to govern the country, so after a setback, he has to retreat into the arena immediately. In the setting sun of Jiangcun, he became his own ideal of lodging. But this kind of observation cannot solve his own contradictions. Most people who talk about hermits only like that kind of freedom, not Tao Yuanming's hunger and cold.

Another great dramatist, Tang Xianzu, wrote a letter to Tu Long a year before his death, which included his own poems. The title of the poem is very long. Instruct He She to recite Avalokitesvara for a while, and send the play to the top ten." According to the analysis of some researchers, the so-called "sore of love" is a proxy for syphilis, so Tu Long's death was probably caused by syphilis infection.

In fact, some people think that Lan Ling Xiaoxiaosheng who wrote "Jin Ping Mei" is Tu Long.

Zigong said, "Zhou's unkindness is not as good as what he is. So the gentleman's evil is in the lower ranks, and all the evil in the world will return."

Tu Long's life has become the background of all doubts, because those unbridled reputation and unparalleled talents have made everything that can be attached to him can be linked with him.

The previous generation Xie Jin, and the later Xu Wenchang, all became wise men in folk tales, just like this. It's just that Tu Long's reputation cannot be separated from his guilt. So he can only be the author of "Jin Ping Mei", the first Chinese who died of syphilis.

At this time, read the text again, especially the letter at the beginning, how can you not let people sigh.

A famous person once said, "Life is like a parabola. When it comes down, it comes down. There's really nothing to do with it!"

When faced with an attack, Tu Long probably thought the same way. The only difference might be that he had a different kind of world for him to roam about.

When I remember the time of the Buddha, there was a group of people who did not believe in the so-called afterlife, but were willing to enjoy life in the present.

They have lived and probably been happy, and when I think of them now, I can only find them in the words that oppose them.

Tu Long is a famous person, but in his own life, there may be no such person. Not only can we not find him, but he himself may not know which one is the real self.
