What is this book saying?

This is a reference book that can easily help readers analyze the causes of their own habit formation obstacles. The author points out that the habits formed in each person's life can actually be studied from four aspects: action, thinking, feeling and environment .

The book contains 65 methods of habit formation, and readers only need to implement them according to the method that suits them.

To understand why we want to develop a good habit but it doesn't work, we should focus on the level of bottlenecks that hinder habit formation.

The reason why habits cannot be successfully cultivated can be understood and mastered from the six levels of the iceberg.

Taking the iceberg model structure as an example, if it is just a habit at the action level, we can solve it with only small changes in action; if it is a further level of thinking, then trying to let go of perfectionism would be a good way; as for feelings, beliefs and The three levels of essence belong to different depths of perception and habit; the last is the environmental level of external factors.

How did this book inspire me?

Each chapter has something I benefit from, and let me share what I think resonates the most.

"The Habit of Action"

As long as we understand that when we come into contact with new things for the first time, it always takes a lot of effort to learn, then we must leave time for it , and then try to touch and try as much as possible; if it is still difficult to do, Try to break it down into small pieces and do it step by step.

By actually writing down the progress of what you are doing, you can feel the sense of accomplishment that is "quantified" by what you are doing, and then increase your willingness to continue doing it. So we have to try to change the environment, or change the people and things we come into contact with . The first condition for consciously choosing and going where you want is, you must try to surround yourself with the things you want, take the initiative to contact things that you strongly pray for, and take the initiative to get feedback from others , so as to make yourself better and better.
