Writing NFT Development Progress Update (August 31)

After the Writing NFT beta was launched on August 1, the function was rapidly iterated.

Below is an overview of the highlights of this month's update.

Improving the collection process is a top priority

Users can now collect NFTs on the Feature page , liker.land's personal homepage and individual Writing NFT detail pages . Currently, most of the traffic for NFT purchases comes from the Writing NFT detail page, and the usage scenario is that users share a link to the Writing NFT detail page through any channel, such as social media, instant messaging apps, or email. Example: Click this link to go directly to the details page of the Writing NFT. The task of improving the user interface of this page is therefore a priority.

Updates to the NFT detail page this month include:

• Display sales information, improve og thumbnails and information display, etc.
• Fixed UI bug when displaying Writing NFT on mobile
• Use more understandable error messages
• Basic share button

At the beginning, the liker.land page did not have the function of connecting to the wallet, but it was added later. After connecting the wallet, users can view the wallet balance, go to the My Dashboard page to view their collections and works, view the status of Appreciation Citizenship membership, and modify user settings.

Writing NFT transfer function

Added the ability to transfer Writing NFTs. This function enriches the usage scenarios of Writing NFT. In addition to being meaningful to yourself, having NFT can also be used as a gift to friends. Certain words may have particularly profound meanings to friends. In the past, it was impossible to print out words for gifts, but now Writing NFT provides a decent way.

Secondary market transaction profit sharing mechanism

At present, the function of secondary market trading is not yet complete, but the initial function has been realized in the first transaction. When the NFT transfer function is supported in the future, the profit will be distributed according to this mechanism.

The current distribution method is:

• Platform fee 2.5% (charged by Liker Land)
• Stakeholders 10% (who is a stakeholder as defined by the ISCN owner of the content)
• Seller 87.5%

The most representative case of this month is Zhang Tao's Writing NFT of "Secret War of Finance". 10% of the revenue from each transaction will be distributed to 7 stakeholders.

This mechanism is still experimental and will likely be modified in the future.

Compatible with more website content

This month's attempts include publishing WordPress ( ckxpress.com ), Substack ( block potential ), and any platform ( Zhang Tao and Uncle Shu's personal website) as Writing NFTs, and tried to publish Patreon articles but failed.

There are also articles on Matters and Medium in the works. Since the Matters article has already supported ISCN, it has been confirmed that it can be successfully published as Writing NFT; the experiment of the Medium article is expected to see the results within the next month.

LikeCoin Writing NFT is open to integrate any writing platform, and hopes to support more different sites in the future.

Other gadgets about Writing NFTs

Although the transaction information of Writing NFT is public on-chain data, it is difficult to view without good user interface tools. Thanks to wancat for helping to develop an NFT Dashboard widget to view data such as leaderboards, social relations, transaction volume, etc. This tool is an open source project , and anyone interested in it is welcome to develop and improve it together.

In addition, wancat has also developed an ISCN browser , which can be used to modify ISCN records in addition to browsing ISCN records. Common functions such as modifying stakeholder information or transferring ISCN ownership .

Author Whitelist Arrangement

There are still many problems in the system that need to be fixed, and it is not fully open yet, please wait patiently. At present, we have received more than 100 authors to register on the whitelist, and will be invited to try the functions of Writing NFT one by one, collect feedback and improve the product.
