8 Podcast Channels That Can't Be Pushed

Finally, shamelessly recommending my new Podcast channel

I was unemployed in May this year, so I started to get used to listening to podcasts. After lunch every day, I walked from Yonghe to Taipei City, Xindian or Zhonghe. I listened to podcasts while looking for coffee shops. Start to be vigilant, do yoga at home, continue listening to podcasts, I can’t tell, maybe I use my eyes too much every day, reading computers, tablets, mobile phones, e-books, I often lie on the ground like a corpse listening to podcasts to greet my boyfriend after get off work, I am very comfortable , I don't know if it caused his shadow.

out of time

I have always been curious about what life in China is like. My last job was in a Hong Kong business, and many departments were in Shenzhen offices. The company used Google Suite. I often held meetings and Google Meet was not well received. Colleagues over there had to change positions to try. A few familiar ones have added IG and posted beautiful photos on the Internet every day. The most impressive thing is that the associate manager of a certain department (Taiwanese) working in Shenzhen told me that those Internet beauty colleagues I knew were crying during the National Day military parade in China. Now, my first reaction was: do young people cry too? ! It makes me feel that China is very mysterious. Driven by curiosity, I have been looking for my favorite Chinese podcast programs.

My obsession with anachronism is that as soon as there is a new update, I will immediately leave the job at hand to listen to it. It has the courage to talk to the times, the self-consciousness of being a media person, digging and discussing, and also understand that in the Chinese environment Protect yourself, I love the high level of awareness and self-awareness it has on the entire production. What this flood disaster has taught us recently: a sound file about Henan , I am particularly impressed. The program is divided into four parts. In the first part, guest reporter Xiao Han directly followed the rescue team to interview the disaster and rescue dictation in Henan. The second part, the host interviews experts on the taxi, how to make rescue calls more efficient in disasters in the future, the third part, interviews how climate experts view extreme climates, and finally, the host mourns each deceased and tells the story of the deceased .

Imperial University Taiwan Literature Department

One day, I had a whim and wanted to ask if there is a channel themed on Taiwanese literature. Yes, there is, and it does a super good job. The three graduate students of the Taiwan University’s Taiwan Literature Institute talk about Taiwan in a “relatively” approach to the people. In literature, I emphasize relative because the host often disagrees, and when arguing, they will enter the literary debate mode, and people who are not from a literary background will listen. Even if they can draw out proper nouns, it still takes some effort to understand concepts. I personally agree with this approach. For example, when John Berger made a channel for popularizing aesthetics, he did not weaken the concept. That is to treat the audience as mentally retarded, not popular. (very subjective opinion hahahahaha)

Philosophize This!

This is a channel I just discovered last week and it's super recommended! By chance, "Cherish Literature" is currently reading Benjamin around the fireplace. In order to hear more about Benjamin's interpretation, I searched for Walter Benjamin on Google Podcast and listened to the introduction of Benjamin in Episode 2 (Episodes 152 and 153) , I found that the host can simplify the complex concept "wisdom" and arouse the audience's interest in reading the philosopher's first-hand materials, brilliant! The episode I listened to yesterday was about Taoism. Can you imagine that a foreigner can explain Taoism in English better than my Chinese teacher in high school? He did.

The order of the podcasts is based on the era the philosopher lived in. I followed his suggestion and started listening to the first episode, because the program is all in English. If I am afraid that it will be difficult, the channel has attached a verbatim transcript of each episode for reference.

Legal Vernacular Movement: Fake Radio BY Yang Guizhi

When I was angry with the director at my last job, I wanted to take the college entrance examination and bought a legal introduction. In the end, I didn’t continue to prepare for many considerations, but I became interested in the law. It was fun to read the judgment, so I learned about this Podcast. If I have a treasure, I can approach the law in vernacular, who wouldn't want to? (Attorney fees are expensive)

I don't have to listen to every episode of Fabai. I only click on the title that I am interested in. The new episode of SME Law #03|Labor rights under the epidemic, is unpaid leave legal? Recommended to friends who may face labor disputes during the epidemic (Huh?!

Pan travel agency

With 8 years of work experience and 7.9 years of experience in the tourism industry, I think I am familiar with travel agencies and the travel and lodging industry. After the epidemic, my peers recommended me to watch Pan-tourism . (Who would have nothing to read the white paper on tourism), the trend of international tourism (especially tourism platforms), the creation of popular places last year, the ideas of tourism curators, in short, my views on tourism are now, Pan-tourism is more about the future of tourism, so I will naturally follow up with the Podcast! The topics are relaxed, professional, and very pushy.

Axios Re:Cap

When I wake up in the morning and brush my teeth, I will play this podcast. I spend 10-15 minutes listening to host Dan Primack discuss a major event based on the United States. While practicing English listening, I think about how this may affect the stock market. After all, there is no way for Taiwan stocks to escape the clutches of US stocks, right? (The voice of a stock market novice is getting weaker.) Apart from the reason of being a philistine, I like the host's essential interview skills and high mastery of the language. Even a foreigner like me can understand and admire it.

Mindy's Selected Readings

Friends who love listening to Podcasts should be familiar with her. I won't say much, Wenqian World Weekly can be read, but don't just watch Wenqian.

Taitung Mambo Radio

As a Taitung native who has lived in Taipei for a long time, occasionally I still want to hear about Taitung's big and small things. Because I didn’t grow up in the tribe, I heard how the youth of the tribe overcome the resistance of returning to their hometown. For example, the elders may think that they cannot survive in Taipei and have no prospects, and develop new business possibilities in the tribe. How to apply for subsidies and how to promote , how to connect with the market, how to be sustainable, these are all knowledge and sharing worth listening to.

But let me explain that the topic of slow waves in Taitung is broader than what I have mentioned above, and it is the May 43 that happened in Taitung.

Digital Age Business Next

Zhan Hongzhi's media.

Recently, I have listened less often. In contrast, the depth, breadth and update speed of podcasts in China and the United States are better for science and technology news. For technology news podcasts, I always listen to them by jumping between channels, and I will recommend them to you when I discover the new continent.

Finally...hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I have to recommend my own Podcast! At the beginning of June, when I was bored at home, I started to record podcasts with my mobile phone experimentally. Every time I updated, I posted an article on Matters, and I gradually received some feedback. There were even godfather and godmother fighting. Talking to the air, but being able to escape the constraints of time and place, receiving feedback, and being amazed, but also motivated to continue, this time with an impulse, I ended the original diary of a working girl and started a new Podcast No. 22 | Catch-22 , every It will be updated once a week, the content is my various small talk, and at the same time, 5 English words are attached to each meeting, it is so inexplicable. In order to make Matters' posts more focused, Podcast updates will be posted on the program IG . You can also subscribe to the following listening platforms to get updated information!
