my pool years

When the male student at the next table bends down to aim at the table, he may be trying to be handsome. Aiming around, I finally found something I shouldn’t be aiming at—then, I saw a lighter flying out from the counter, flying over the two tables in a parabola, and fell right next to Shiro-mu- "Bang!" There were sparks on the table...

"Go! Pick a pole!"

This sentence seems to be a spell to awaken the corpse and drive it to act. Several times after class, I lay on my desk bored, my eyes were empty, and when the school bell rang, two or three boys walked up to my seat and cast a spell on me--I didn't particularly want to skip class. Completely unable to resist, he quickly slipped out of the classroom, left the school before the class bell rang, and went to the pool court diagonally opposite the school entrance to compete.

This pool court is called "Li Da". Before we indulged in Internet cafes, it was our meeting base for skipping classes or after school. But strictly speaking, Lida is actually a bowling alley. Three-quarters of the space is occupied by more than a dozen bowling lanes, and there are only eight pool tables. In comparison, the consumption of bowling is relatively high, and the time is not easy to grasp; while playing pool is only 2.8 yuan for one minute, and two people play a table for an hour, it is only 80 yuan evenly divided, and you can do it at any time after playing. The checkout at the cutting table is also very convenient, certainly our first choice for spending time.

Since Lida only has eight tables, it is often full. In order to grab the ball table, we will divide the labor and cooperate. Before the bell of the fourth class in the morning rang, one person sneaked out of the classroom and ran to Lida to grab the table; the other people were responsible for buying lunch and brought it to Lida. While eating, I played until the bell rang for the first class in the afternoon, and I went back to school in a mighty manner.

Once, when it was my turn to grab a table, I didn't expect that even if I arrived before class, it was still full, and three of the tables were taxi drivers. I walked to the counter and took a peek at the opening times of the tables displayed on the computer screen—it was unbelievable that they started playing at midnight last night, and it has been twelve hours since then. I thought they were almost tired from playing, so I sat next to them and ate the noodles bought by my classmates and watched them play. But until the class was about to begin, they were still in high spirits and had no intention of leaving, so we had no choice but to return.

If you can't play at noon and your hands are itchy, you have to skip class and play pool at the risk of being caught.

One semester, the Academic Affairs Office did not know whether it was due to taking the wrong medicine or the lack of students was too serious, and even offered a penalty for truancy (only one warning was recorded, and three warnings were recorded as a minor demerit). That semester, I took a Japanese class that took seven or eight classes in the afternoon on Tuesdays. After I took it, I found out that none of my classmates who liked to play pool took it. So, every time I finish the sixth class on Tuesday, I can only watch them go to Lida with unwillingness.

Later, I found out that in the last two classes in the afternoon, Cha Tang was probably going to get off work, so he wouldn't be so diligent—

"Let's go! Pick a pole! " Finally, on a Tuesday afternoon, I couldn't resist the temptation of my classmates. No matter what, I packed my schoolbag and left with everyone. However, my luck was not good. This time, Chatang checked very diligently, and sent me a small test directly. The school also sent me a notice to my house; my parents were so angry that they questioned me, and it took me a lot of time to confuse me. past.

Most Taiwanese parents do not have a good impression of billiards, thinking that it is an activity that delinquent teenagers will engage in. This prejudice is very unfair to children who have a talent for billiards and want to become a national player. But I also have to say that the pool court is indeed a mixed environment. As long as we see the "little brother" with fierce eyes coming in, we don't dare to look around and just play our own ball. However, the reason why "white eyes" is called "white eyes" is that his eyes will always aim at random...

That day, as soon as we walked into Lida, we saw a group of little brothers smoking near the counter, leaning against the wall and squinting at the audience. I was waiting for the gap between my classmates to play, and when I saw the male classmate at the next table bending over and aiming at the table, he might be trying to be handsome, so he would deliberately look left and right to look for attention, then adjust his posture and make sure to pose properly. Just hit the ball. He looks so ugly, I want to beat him even when I see it. Sure enough, he glanced around, and finally found something he shouldn't be aiming at—

I saw on the other side of the counter, a lighter flew out, and after flying parabolically over the two tables, it landed right next to the white-eyed man - " Bang! ", sparks burst out from the table, and the white-eyed man scared After a jump, the pole fell to the ground, and his classmates also exclaimed.

" Come on, what are you looking at?! " There was a loud shout from the counter, three or four people strode forward, surrounded the white-eyed man, and with a distance of three centimeters to kiss, they were close to him. swear words to serve; the white-eyed man is not weak, and swears back with swear words. It's a pity that the classmates of the white-eyed man did not dare to step forward to help out, and the female classmates in their class were too frightened to move. The two sides yelled and started to fight until the end. The white-eyed man was outnumbered and was pushed out of the pool court by the little brothers.

Not long after, my classmate came in from outside and told us that he just saw a group of people escorting a student to a nearby alley to beat him for a while and then left. The background is not simple either.

There is a classmate in our class who is not very simple. One afternoon, Lida was full, and there were a lot of people waiting. We planned to play in a pool court far away, but the classmate refused to go. We lured him for a long time, and he finally gave the reason: "There is my enemy there! Do you want to see me get beaten?" Although I answered him in my heart: "Yes!" But don't make jokes about this kind of thing. it is good.

Therefore, the pool court is a place where the vigorous men show their masculinity. Naturally, there are swear words and the smell of smoke floating around. It's not that the girls can't understand the fun of pool, but they are very resistant to even stepping on the pool. So, what kind of girl would be willing to walk into a pool court? Then ask! Eighty percent of them come to watch the boy they like play. Therefore, for us, as a man, the most powerful thing is to have girls come to watch him play; whenever a girl is watching, even if it is someone else, we will give twice as much as usual. Focus on playing.

It is conceivable that if there were no girls at the white-eyed man's table at that time, he would not have rushed so much in the face of evil...

It was almost after my third year of junior high school that online games became popular, and the base of our gatherings gradually shifted from the pool court to the Internet cafe. At least two semesters did not come to Lida. After a while, we got tired of playing the game, and we went to Lida again and found that Lida had followed suit, opened up a small space next to it, put more than ten computers, and started an Internet cafe.

However, there are at least five Internet cafes within a radius of one kilometer in that area. Lida's efforts to rely on Internet cafes to retain students have been in vain after all, and there are only a handful of players. In addition, the original billiard price of 2.8 yuan per minute has also been cut to only 1.9 yuan, and several tables are still empty. In the past, there was a kind aunt at the counter, and the primary school student who was lying on the counter doing homework was his son. We would chat with the aunt and the children when we waited for the table to open; now the aunt and the children are gone, and a young man is in charge. It is said that the aunt's salary was cut a lot by Li, and she moved to a nearby bowling alley in anger.

The power that cannot stop the tide of the times is getting smaller and smaller. Just before our graduation, Lida closed down, but we didn't feel particularly sorry at that time, because we had long lost interest in billiards.

Until I graduated from the graduate school, I went back to my alma mater to go through the formalities of deducting military service. Approaching the school gate, I was surprised to find that the original strong tin house had long since been flattened, and a ten-story-high residence was built on top of it, and there was not even a trace of ruins left for me to cherish.

Not only Li Da, but the pool courts that we used to visit often fell one by one, and the membership cards in my purse were also lost one by one. Now, occasionally nostalgic, want to find old friends to play pool——

" Go! Pick a pole! "

"Where to pick?"

"..."

After falling into silence for a while, we decided to go to the seafood shop for a drink, and miss the billiard years that are gone.
