Matters.News website will resume normal use from now on (2022.08.10)

The Matters.News website was hit by an unknown source, large-scale DDoS and API attacks at the end of July (East Eighth District, July 28), resulting in unstable services. The attack lasted for a week. In order to ensure the stability of the website, the team has urgently migrated the service to a website structure with stronger DDoS defense.

At present, the migration of the website has been completed, the website has been restored to normal use, and no data has been stolen or damaged. Because of the changes in CDN caching brought about by the architecture migration, we will continue to optimize and adjust in the next period of time. Thank you for your patience, and the Matters.News site has become stronger and more resilient after this one.

This attack makes us think more actively about how an open content network can resist malicious attacks and build a more resilient content ecosystem through decentralized technology. After the website migration work has come to an end recently, the working team will also write an article to share the countermeasures for this attack, as well as thoughts on decentralized storage and communication technologies.
