The return of physical experience in the post-pandemic era

In the last relationship, from time to time, I would walk from the city government transfer station to Breeze Nanshan to go shopping in the supermarket or buy desserts.

It's a bit like overwriting paper, because I walked through the empty bridge and the strip-shaped linear open space in the middle of the department store many times. Before preparing to enter the post-epidemic era, some inspiration emerged late at night, and I quickly recorded it.

In the strip-shaped linear open space in the middle of the department store, there are often some street performers walking in the middle. However, we chose to take the empty bridge on the second floor at first, often to avoid the crowd, but occasionally we can look down at the crowd and the performers. However, whether it is on the first or second floor, the windows on both sides are more interesting. The large linear glass displays various products, but only some small openings are opened to allow people to enter the department store, which is a bit semi-mandatory to separate the internal functions of the building from the external. The space is strongly divided, or people are expected to enter a deliberately designed ribbon-like display belt.

Although there are department stores one after another with a dazzling array of products, for us, this linear crossing process seems to be a ritual, and different ways of walking will have different moods. Just because Breeze Nanshan was at the back, in fact, everything I really wanted to buy and eat was there (Xiaoqi Cafeteria, KOBE Sweets CAFE Kobe fruit, etc.), although at the time, I just regarded this ceremony as a delicious meal. The previous sports, but the experience of this "city shuttle" is quite wonderful in retrospect. I also recalled the time when I was in college. The design of strip-shaped linear space, function, spatial texture, visual penetration, guidance, etc., is a good living teaching material here.

During the epidemic, time has been bombarded and filled by various virtual worlds, and we are about to enter the post-epidemic era. Humans' instinctive desire for physical experience in space will definitely remain unchanged...

After checking the information, the fashion industry feels that it is very advanced.

Here are a few examples:

The first example, the first time it moved to Seoul to hold a big show, Dior remodeled the 2022 early autumn series, bringing the stylish design of the defect system

Dior Pre-Fall 2022: A special show in Seoul for the first time. 4/30 " Maria Grazia Chiuri , the creative director of Dior women's clothing, came to Seoul, South Korea with the 2022 early autumn fashion collection released at the end of last year, and joined hands with Ewha Womans University to create an unprecedented event" It can be seen that all Zhiming brands will look again Moving to the "perception" of physical space, after the epidemic, the joint name of city, building and brand value may have a peak.

(If you are not familiar with the design of the "Grand Canyon" of Ewha Womans University, you can refer to the introduction of Archidaily .)

The second example: the prosperity of the fashion circle in the post-epidemic era: from Seoul to Rome, major brands will fly to various cities to hold shows

Among them, Louis Vuitton also announced that it will go to the Salk Institute (Salk Institute) in La Jolla, San Diego, California to hold the 2023 early spring women's clothing show on May 12. Yes, it is well known in the architectural field, Lukang's classic work .

I am looking forward to the sparks that collide with the spring dress show at the junction of pure space, sky and sea.

As architects, urbanites, etc., who are fighting against the virtual world, it seems that there is no need to dance with the recent popular NFT craze, and solidly do a good job in your own profession, and a good space can still touch people's hearts.
