Virtual Miscellaneous // What will our world become after NFT?

A recent thought about NFT

About the middle of last year, I have seen examples of blockchain applications in art collections, using NFTs to buy and sell digital artworks. This year, there are more applications of NFTs that are close to civilians. In other words, NFT finally came to my eyes.

Since this month, there has been a series of NFT discussions in Matt, issuing its own NFT
Behance, a work exchange platform under the software company Adobe, has launched a page showing NFT in this year's new version. Users will be able to bind three wallets : MetaMask , Phantom , and Temple .
In the past few days, McDonald's has also launched a NFT sweepstakes limited to US residents. The NFT they issued is a cool McRib burger card.
Musician Huang Mingzhi, who lives in Taiwan, sells music works through NFT, and they are sold out within three hours

Digital Favorites Do I Love?

As a person who has no intention of over-consumption, he is still watching the possibility of NFT. In addition to seeing the rising market in the future (but it may also be worthless) and supporting the creators he likes, it seems that there is no reason to collect NFTs on purpose. What do I need NFTs for? I’m probably still a collection controller in the physical world. I like to open my eyes to see satisfying things, and digital collections that need to be powered on to see are still a bit far from reality. (Eh, but the current state of moving and still images and family and friends is almost the same.)

But in reality, the scale of the virtual world is rapidly expanding. Facebook and Microsoft have successively announced that they will enter the virtual world, and Burger King has also begun to give away virtual currency. Presumably, more and more physical operators want to break into this blue ocean and grab the first batch of users who have invested in the virtual world.

Starting here, I think of a phenomenon similar to the real world - "value depends on belief" . Believe that it has value, it will have it, and it will be able to go longer. Just like the various investment tools stocks, funds, real estate, bonds, and ETFs that exist in the world, the more people support this virtual world, the less likely it will collapse. When McDonald's launched NFT, I began to imagine that NFT will continue to touch more and enter the virtual world in the future. Maybe restaurants, tourist attractions, and art and cultural museums will all issue their own NFT products. Will start collecting virtual souvenirs, and Taiwan, who loves to chase the wind, may even issue NFT character cards in the future.

In the future, NFTs should appear in a variety of ways. Some people like to collect and buy civilian game cards, and some people regard NFTs as high-priced collectibles. In the other corner, like someone who has not made an investment, there is someone who is always indifferent. However, as the news mentioned in this article, NFT is still related to the value beliefs generated in the physical world to some extent.

The value of NFT products

If content creators want to make money through NFT, they must also need certain entities to support users to believe in his/her creative value. After all, the users of the virtual world are still based on physical users. The price setting in the virtual world is nothing more than considering the wealth affordability of the real world, the reputation, discussion and brand value of the publisher.

Just like the existing subscription circles, I can't imagine that in the virtual world, I have the time and energy to immerse myself in purchasing NFTs, and slowly pick out what I like. Not to mention that after a while, when it is not surprising that NFT has everything, how can I judge that the NFT purchased by the virtual currency I put in is really from the object/brand I want to support? Will these virtual world NFTs break existing copyright norms and ethics? Will the various regulations of the real world speed up the formation of the virtual world?

The Andy Warhol of the 20th century believed that in the future everyone has a chance to be famous for 15 minutes. Thinking of this sentence now, there are more ups and downs of NFT-bound virtual wealth in the virtual world, and I can't help but wonder how we will experience the process of building and disappearing fame in the future. When the NFT we purchased falls, can we still believe in the value it held when we purchased it?

Going back to buying digital collections, maybe everyone in the future will have a pair of glasses to see their own virtual world.
