The previous article mentioned how meditation has changed me. Maybe many people are still the same as me before, unable to appreciate meditation, or they are somewhat dubious about “how good it can be” just sitting there.

I say this because a friend of mine has a serious problem of insomnia, and melanin or any anti-neurasthenia drugs are useless for him. Frankly speaking, he often needs to smoke marijuana to relax himself. Sometimes I even use a low dose of psychedelic mushrooms to make myself "drowsy" and fall asleep.

Within a month of starting the meditation + the five Tibetan poses, my insomnia went away without medication, of course it could be because I wasn't that bad, but even if yours is bad, I think it's just a matter of perseverance In two months, you can definitely see the effect on sleep, but when my friend and I mentioned my "results" and encouraged him to try it out, he accepted all the videos and downloaded them for a month. Afterwards, there is still no sign of any movement. Among them, another friend tried it, but he was suffering from thoughts flying in meditation and numbness of his legs, so the effect must be discounted.

In the past, people recommended me to do yoga. I thought it was boring. When others started meditating, I felt very pretentious (thinking in my heart🤣), and now I realize how much I lost because of my self-righteousness.

Although it has only been two months since I started meditating, I meditate for more than half an hour each time. Now I meditate three times a day. I can provide you with the experience of beginners as a reference~

What should you do to prepare for meditation?

If you feel very boring, hard, or uncomfortable after trying meditation once or twice, then you should pause first⏸️, and if you meditate with an emotion of boredom or patience, the effect will be greatly reduced, or even completely ineffective and only add to the trouble .

The obstacles that ordinary meditation will encounter are boredom, numbness in the legs, sleepiness, and cranky thinking.

☢️ If you are bored...

You can listen to your favorite chants or songs during meditation. Pure music is best. If someone sings, it’s best to use a language that you don’t understand. After selecting, listen to the same song repeatedly until the end of the meditation. You can change to a different song while meditating, but don't change it while you're meditating.

☢️If you are sleepy...

Logically speaking, meditation will not make people want to sleep, unless you suddenly meditate at the time you normally fall asleep. If you go to bed with the lights off at 12, you should start meditating around 11.

There is also a possibility that it is related to your habits, eating too much oil or owe too much sleep debt. As long as you don’t meditate when you are too full, and eat more raw vegetables and fruits on weekdays, meditation can help you quickly. To reduce burnout, meditation is actually a deeper way of rest than sleep. Many yogis completely replaced sleep with meditation. I tried to meditate for a few hours. Judging from the feeling of not being tired, it is really possible to "sit and rest" over time.

☢️If your legs are numb...

There are many ways to cross your legs in meditation, and they all have their meanings, but it doesn’t mean that if you can’t cross your legs, you won’t be able to meditate. The key is to calm your mind, and everything else is secondary.

Let’s not talk about the energy accumulation of cross-legged legs. For me, the most important thing is that double-disc or single-disc allows your body to straighten naturally. Meditation can’t slump your waist, but you can’t deliberately raise your head and chest, so the spine can be “natural”. Upright" is important.

The ideal sitting posture is to look like a pyramid, which is said to be able to form a channel and receive energy.

In fact, although it is easy to collapse the waist during meditation, it is not a big deal. When you realize that your waist is gradually bent, you can adjust it immediately. It will not be a waste of meditation just because you move. .

At the same time, train the flexibility of your body and slowly make yourself able to do at least a single set.

If your legs are numb, you can change your posture. When you meditate often, you can actually enter a state of meditation very quickly. For example, when I found that my legs were numb, I didn’t even open my eyes. , let the legs take a short rest, these are all good, as long as you adjust the posture and withdraw your consciousness, you can continue to meditate.

☢️How to increase softness?

It's important to open your hips if you're going to be able to do cross-legs with ease, rather than hard-rotating your knees and hurting yourself.

Both Yin yoga and the one-word horse are very helpful. I have been doing one-word horse stretching for a few years before the meditation, so it is not difficult for me to cross my legs.

People who don't want to try meditation can also do this set of Yin yoga, especially those who are sedentary and inactive, which can help you relieve the pressure on the piriformis muscle.

☢️ What to do if you are cranky?

Crazy thinking mostly comes from unfinished things, things that make you unhappy, and the misunderstanding of "multitasking is more efficient".

Procrastination is an accomplice to crankiness during meditation.

If you can't do what you need to do right away, set a plan to finish it, so your brain will be tricked by you, and let it go for a while🤣.

Unhappy things involve how you deal with "unhappy", so you might as well use "unhappy" as a training for yourself.

To deal with the unsatisfactory things that happen in life, you need wisdom so that you and the other party will not be harmed. You should train before you have enough wisdom, and first train yourself to be able to finish the "unhappy" thing in the shortest time. .

I called the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York a few days ago to ask about the verification. As a result, I only said a few words, and before I finished the question, the people in the office taught me a very bad tone, to the effect of how I should I will ask them this question. If it was before, I would fight back and complain to her, but now I just hang up the phone, so this "unhappy" thing will be resolved 😃.

Even if you are the kind of person who insists on holding on to this incident for three days and three nights as long as you are not happy, when you start to adjust your life, it actually means that you start to be "aware", as long as you are conscious. Change, you can slowly shorten the time you are unhappy - shorten the time you are unhappy, not pretend you are not unhappy.

If the source of your unhappiness is people, and you feel that the other party is always in trouble with you, you can still do "decomposition". Even if the other party makes you unhappy every day, you can still "finish the unhappiness" in the shortest time, and then what to do Well, isn't it the easiest way to not waste too much time on people you hate? Even if you fight, you need to stop the loss. If you fight endlessly, you will bring endless damage and a bunch of nonsense to both sides.

I know that saying don't care about other people's eyes is a boring chicken soup, so I won't say that, the truth is who doesn't like to be recognized and valued, liked and respected by others?

But is it more important to like yourself than to like others to like yourself?

Shouldn't your focus be more on making yourself like yourself more? If you like yourself or not depends on whether others like you or not, and how many people like you, you will collapse sooner or later.

It’s like when we write a script and show it to different investors, we will receive different opinions. Some people like it, and some people say it’s bad. Of course, you can accept other people’s opinions, but absorbing other people’s opinions is to make yourself The script is better, not to lose your own opinion, but not to let you be overwhelmed and unsure who to please in the end.

Multitasking doesn't help at all to improve your efficiency when you haven't opened your awareness. For us ordinary people, focus is the only way to be efficient.

Meditation is good training ♥️.

I used to like to think about other things while exercising. When I was waiting for a phone call, I had to glance at other web pages or memorize a word. I thought I was smart and efficient. After learning here and there, I forgot about it. After practicing concentration, I realized that it is better to focus on watching for an hour than looking around for a few hours.
