Germany punishes groups (like Apple Daily) for promoting unconstitutional content

Of course, in Germany, when a media (in a broad sense) has not yet grown into an apple and is still writing small posters, it may have already been olived.

Quoted from HRR-StrafRecht.de:

"At the latest on June 24, 2012, the defendant was found to have used an online template to prepare an A4-format 'Wanted Notice' with 19 portrait photos of federal and state politicians, titled "About Germany Traitor of the People - Left Party / Green Party / Islamophobia. According to the text of the poster, the defendants said the politicians were on the wanted list for "acquiescence and participation in murder, rape, child abuse, assassination, ethnic cleansing against their own people and financial crimes." The defendant posted the "wanted notice" on the inside of the rear window of his car and drove it on the road for two weeks. He also parked his car in campgrounds and public parking lots to draw the attention of passersby to the "wanted notice." The defendants intended to use the "Wanted Order" to portray the officials and politicians mentioned in it as criminals "to shake the audience's confidence in the validity of the Constitution and encourage them to make attempts to overthrow the constitutional organs and undermine the existence of the Constitution. "

The district court sentenced the defendant to nine months in prison for defaming and insulting the constitutional organ, of which the two months he had previously been detained were deemed to have been counted. The sentence also deprived the defendant of his right to hold public office and be elected for three years. "

“According to the findings of the investigation, the defendant and several co-defendants who have not appealed have started broadcasting internet radio stations featuring right-wing extremist songs since early 2011. Their content exceeded the threshold of criminal responsibility because they were inflammatory in nature. Or the tendency to glorify violence.

According to the revision of the defendant's judgment, the judgment of the Berlin Regional Court on September 9, 2013 was changed to:

Defendant M. is convicted in both cases of criminal organization and sedition using the emblem of an unconstitutional organization;"

It is completely understandable that if Apple Daily is in Germany, the first edition will be directly shut down according to the above case, and the newspaper owner will be imprisoned. It will not even wait until Hong Kong people know that such a newspaper exists. .
