Eighteen Bends Picking Salt Trail–Taiwan–Changhua

The northern end of Jiujiu Peak .
The end of the Great Wall of China.
The afforestation end of the Central Ridge.

Before writing this trail, I need to correct the previous Hengshan Trail . The 18-bend salt-carrying ancient road mentioned in it was wrongly planted by Red. The detour to the triangle point of Xiaobaiyue in Hengshan does not refer to this trail.

Because the starting point is the same as Qingshuiyan Temple, I am confused, hereby clarify!

There is also a parking lot here, but I chose to park in the large parking lot in front of Kiyomizu Rock Temple.

There are several trails starting from Qingshuiyan: left and right at the entrance, which are different from other trails introduced by Red himself. Centered on the parking lot

Go left → Hengshan Trail, go directly to Hengshan Xiaobaiyue triangle point.

Go right → 18 Bends Picking Salt Ancient Road
Turn right → Central Ridge Afforestation Trail

The above two trails can be used for circular climbing, depending on whether you need to pick the salt from the 18th bend and go under the central ridge; or go up the central ridge and pick the salt. This time, I chose the eighteen bends to pick up the salt and go down from the Central Ridge.

Climbing intersection: 5 kilometers of hiking trails.
Trail Type: Suburban Mountain Trail.
Road conditions: cobblestone trails, wooden trestle bridges, sleeper earth stone steps, steel frame iron bridges.
Walking time: about two hours back and forth Altitude: 120~320 meters.
Difficulty: low.

This is a mountain climbing entrance on the side of the road, but it is not marked. I still choose the clearly marked climbing entrance and only take pictures~~

 The salt-carrying ancient road in Changhua County has twists and turns due to the twists and turns of the mountain. Locals call it "Eighteen Bends", so it is also called "Eighteen Bends Ancient Road". The main road for the residents of Mingjian Township to transport goods is also the only way for merchants in Lukang and Xihu to hire porters to buy and sell salt goods. It has a history of about three or four hundred years.

After climbing the bend, I was sweating profusely. I wore a non-sweat-absorbent shirt that day, so I simply took it off. After climbing the last step, I suddenly feel enlightened ^_^

This is already the end of the ancient salt-carrying trail. Going in the other direction will reach the end of the Zhongyangling afforestation trail. We choose to go down here and make a ring.
