Do you know "Think before you act", why is it "Think before you act"?

In fact, most of us are because many things in life are too simplistic, and we have absorbed those simple and taken-for-granted truths since childhood. Therefore, it also leads us to hear and feel indifferent. We have known the overall meaning of these sentences since we were young, but we have not thought about how many ancient people’s life-long understandings are behind these simple words.

Recently, when I stumbled across YouTube videos to study, I found myself with a clearer understanding of "think before you act". The film is about a book called "Thinking Fast And Slow" or "Thinking Fast and Slow".

And it just so happened that I also shared on the IG page the day before that I wanted to get out of my own limits, and when my subconscious began to limit myself, I let myself have self-awareness to think better and respond to the face. Interested friends can also view my articles in matter.

And the content of the video is very connected to what I share, and I am also quite curious about what other viewers think, and when I read everyone's thoughts in the comment area, I suddenly found that an audience member said "Simply put, it is Think twice"

This doesn't sound like much, it's just a long message that I've seen at the bottom of the message area who likes to simplify the words of the lecturer and the author into a message that has no depth and is a bit depressing.

But I also found that, in fact, most of us are because many things are too simplistic, and we have absorbed those simple and taken-for-granted truths since childhood. Therefore, it also leads us to hear and feel indifferent. We have known the overall meaning of these sentences since we were young, but we have not thought about how many ancient people’s life-long understandings are behind these simple words. For example, why should you "think twice" and "go ahead".

For me, after the content of the video and my own perception, my interpretation of the phrase "think before you act" is:

Think twice

Thought 1 - When something happens, the brain enters a preset mechanism and makes an instinctive thought response.

Thought 2 - Be aware of your current state of thinking, identify and measure the truth or not of the various sounds in your head.

Thought 3 - Think about what a more mature response ( and then ) you should make after a review of your self-awareness.

When most of us are faced with various things, our thoughts only stay at the first step, instinctively defending ourselves, and responding to self-protection (or I say self-limitation).

for example

When someone says something we don’t like, our instinctive response is to show a disliked expression and a variety of responses that rationalize our reasons appear in our minds.

But we should also ask ourselves whether what others say is true when this happens. Maybe what other people say to you is actually a weakness that you can't see yourself. Maybe other people just want to help us improve, but because of our instinctive self-protection, it leads us to oppose the people and things that can make us grow.

Eventually, when self-awareness occurs, we are able to engage in more mature responses such as listening, digesting, learning, and changing.
