I believe that everyone has heard a saying from childhood to adulthood: Music has to be practiced at a young age to have a chance to become famous, and it will be too late when you grow up. When I was growing up, I seemed to be used to this "10,000-hour Law of Success".

Do you know the story of the tennis king Federer? Although her mother is a coach, Federer played all kinds of balls since she was a child, and learned to ski, swim, skateboard, etc. It was not until the early 10 years that she became very interested in tennis.

The funny thing is that his parents at that time deliberately didn't let him get interested in tennis and wanted him to try other sports.


[Early attempts are the key to success, and so is diversity]

Research statistics show that top athletes spend less time deliberately practicing the sports they specialize in in the future, and instead they are exposed to various types of sports and try.

Finally, after building up various sports abilities, you can understand your own abilities and preferences, and invest in the field you are most specialized in.

Another study found that early starters earn higher incomes after college, but late starters catch up later because they find jobs that better match their skills and personality;

People who propose innovative inventions in the field of science and technology often dabble and invest in many ways, actively abandoning depth and seeking breadth, thereby enhancing creativity.

In the era of coexistence with AI with super computing power, AI is more and more able to replace professional technology and capabilities. At this time, it is even more test whether we have diverse viewpoints and ideas to stimulate creativity, which is something that AI cannot do at present.

I myself am a person who is more willing to pursue breadth than depth haha. I often think about how to connect concepts from different fields and apply them.
