Where is the horror of sin?

Whether in reality or on the Internet, I have heard this statement several times: the group of people born in China in the 1950s are the worst generation in China. When they withdraw from the stage of history, China will be much better. Of course, this is not completely unreasonable. After all, in the most critical period of adolescent growth, the education they received in all aspects was very different from normal education, and the alienation was very serious. But the second half of this sentence, I strongly disagree, because the Bible tells us that sin is contagious, it affects other people, and it affects other people. In other words, the problems of this group of people born in the 1950s will not collapse as they age in the future.

When I was in junior high school, the head teacher of the first and second year of junior high school was a female teacher who had just graduated from college. According to the time, I went to junior high school in 2005, so she was born around 1983. We were her first class, so she held us very tight. I remember the last class every Monday afternoon, we had a class meeting. One of the class meetings is to write a weekly diary. I don’t remember the specific content very clearly, but it roughly summarizes my personal study life in the past week. But there is one item that I am particularly impressed by, that is, I have to name the two students in the class who have performed the worst in the past week in the weekly journal. They can be those who talk a lot in class, they can be obviously backward in learning, or they can be often mischievous. . At the time, I didn't think there was anything in this requirement. Anyway, I thought that my grades in the class were not bad, and in order to cope with official business, I always wrote about the people with the worst grades in the class. Until one day, the head teacher called me into the office and said I was on the list. I was immediately stunned and shocked. The head teacher asked me what was going on. I told the head teacher directly. I didn’t know what was going on. I should ask the person who wrote me. The head teacher can tell me who that person is, so I can ask him (she ) to correct yourself. Of course, such a joking request must have been rejected.

When I got home, I told my father about it at the dinner table. My father didn't say anything at the time, and went straight to the office to meet the head teacher the next day. Later, I found out that my father told the young head teacher about the drawbacks of this rule, and suggested that it be revised to include two students who performed well and made great progress in the weekly journal of each student. Fortunately, the young teacher obeyed my father. The old teacher's opinion. A few years later, as I grew up, my father told me that this rule was actually a replica of Mao Zedong's 5% being a bad guy.

Yes, 5% of people in all walks of life are bad people. Every week, there are always 2 students in our class who are bad people. But when you think about it, it's not that simple. You must know that the young teacher was born in 1983 and has never experienced the Mao Zedong period. She may not even know 5% or even the anti-rightist movement when she teaches English, but this does not prevent her from launching and always having it. 5% is the same policy as the bad guys. Because as a sin, it has been imprinted in the bone marrow of our Chinese people and melted in our Chinese blood, she does not need to go through that era because her parents did. The whole Bible tells us that sin is fermentable and contagious. When Eve was tempted to eat the fruit that she should not eat, she asked Adam to eat it too. When our parents and grandparents experienced various political movements during the Mao Zedong period and were able to "smelt into steel" and "integrate", they will inevitably affect us, our next generation, and the next generation.

In China now, there are often news that some old people touch porcelain. Indeed, in China, I am most afraid of some old people who rely on the old to sell the old. But once, when I was walking with my friend at the gate of the university, a friend next to me asked me to be careful not to be hit by a car. I immediately joked, "It's okay, if it hit me, I collapsed on the ground and couldn't get up, and then All the friends around were laughing. It was really a joke, but after the fact I asked myself, when I am old, will I be like this? My answer is, I might really be like this at that moment, for example, I can at least take me to the hospital for a full body checkup.

When I was studying in Boston, I rode my bike to school at 8:00 on a Saturday morning, and there was no one on the street, but suddenly I bumped into an old white man in his 60s. It's also unfortunate, the American will not come out at all, and he happens to deliver the courier. I must be fully responsible because not only was I speeding, but I was riding the pavement to save time. If you bump into such an old man in China, it will be troublesome. But the other party just scolded me, then turned and walked away. If I am still living in China when I am old, will I be paralyzed on the ground knowing that there is no serious problem? I'm not sure.

So stop focusing on one specific group of people, which violates the biblical "non-judgmental" principle and what the Bible teaches us: sin affects those around you. When Achan stole what should be destroyed and the Israelites failed to attack the city of Ai, Achan was killed because the wages of sin was death. Joshua said, "Why have you troubled us? The LORD will trouble you today." (Joshua 7:25)

Even if a certain group of people is infected with sin, we, as people of the next generation than them, are very aware that our lives are also infected with these sin genes, and we have long been implicated and infected. If the Cultural Revolution comes again today, our young people will also criticize teachers, colleagues in the work unit will also inform each other, and relatives in the family will also expose each other.

A very important spiritual principle in the Bible is unity, no division, no opposition. Let us unite together in today's persecuted environment and pray for this ancient nation and nation. Of course, we can't just count on prayer and just sit back and wait. Brothers and sisters in the mainland church, social people who care about the destiny of the country and the nation, and overseas Chinese, we must prepare ourselves, stand up for change, take the initiative to welcome new victories, and realize the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ to us.
