Being single is symbolic; being lonely is imaginary; being alone is real.

A symbolic marriage ends the singleness; the imaginary marriage brings loneliness; the real marriage doesn't exist.

A symbolic divorce ends a marriage; an imaginary divorce sustains a marriage; the real divorce is marriage.
