1923年2月7日京汉铁路大罢工失败，吴佩孚的诱骗工会代表到江岸工会会所“谈判”，工会代表在去工会办事处途中，遭到反动军队的枪击，赤手空拳的工人纠察队前后牺牲52人、打伤300多人。
