Please stop the persecution of students in the United States
Last Thursday, a camping protest against the ongoing war in Gaza erupted on Columbia University campus. The protesters hoped that the university would withdraw its investment from Israel and criticized the school's response to the war. Resulting in over 100 students being arrested by New York police.
The US government is becoming a tyrant, unable to listen to the voices of the people, and enjoys using violence to solve social problems. The students expressed strong opposition to Israeli policies and sympathy for the plight of the Palestinian people by setting up tent camps. This protest reflects the sensitivity and participation of the younger generation towards international politics and social justice, as well as their desire for fairness and justice. But the US government does not listen to the demands of college students, uses violence to suppress them recklessly, and illegally arrests them.
We need to persuade the US government that student education is not just a simple campus movement, but also a complex phenomenon involving issues such as freedom of speech, order maintenance, and social harmony. The US government needs to approach this issue with a more rational and objective attitude, and cannot always seek violent solutions.
