"React and Think Like the Little Prince": Talking about Moving Forward and Dreaming
Frankly speaking, I opened this book with doubts. After all, "Reacting and Thinking Like the Little Prince" does not belong to the type of books I usually come into contact with, just like in front of new friends, we will be a little guarded, and we will not expect the newcomer to be in harmony with us (it is not ruled out that this is just My personal defense mechanism against unfulfilled expectations). After reading ten chapters, I don't think the content is the most important, but it frees up space for me to "use the topic" and think about it. This book covers all aspects of life, just as I am entering a new stage of life, let me first talk about my progress and dreams.
"If a person has no dreams, what is the difference between the same salted fish?"
In the three years of high school, I also misunderstood that I was the salted fish in the mouth of Master Xing. Compared with my classmates, I don't have a clear direction for further studies. A friend of mine has been fond of animals since she was a child. She still remembers visiting the Reptile House when she was in elementary school. Her twinkling eyes stared straight at the snakes in the glass display case. I looked around while I was growing up, but I couldn’t see them. Find out why.
She was admitted to the veterinary doctor logically. She is a little closer to her dream.
"What do you want to study?" Medicine, law, electronic engineering... All the students in the class have firm goals - the chosen discipline must have the ability and opportunity to lead them to "achieve a dream job". "And you? 』My answer is always seasonal, those friends who rarely meet are often frightened by my jumping tone. Journalism and communication, education, Chinese, art... Is it the same as having no dreams if you don't have a definite answer to your future career?
Dreams are not limited to careers, not to real things.
I also recently realized that I have a dream, but it is relatively empty. My dream is to preserve the ability of my lover all the time. As for whether it can be achieved, it will not be revealed until the moment before my death. The "people" who love others include themselves and others. Loving the former is often powerless, and loving the latter is often too much. It is mentioned in the book that one should learn from the little prince to face the crazy world with a child's eyes, so that one can move forward step by step towards one's dreams. dream of happiness.
Surprisingly, this is not as difficult as you think, as long as you know what you want. When I read "The Little Prince" when I was a child, the little prince kept asking the pilot to redraw the behavior of a sheep, which made me feel very troublesome, and I didn't understand why he insisted so much. Later, I realized that those vague "doesn't matter" and "but" are even more troublesome. Many times we allow our brains to get away with it, so that we don't know the meaning of getting up when we wake up. Ask yourself, what are you really yearning for? What kind of person do you want to be? How do you look forward to living in the future?
Break down your dreams into goals and make a list like a Christmas gift list.
As I write this, I suddenly realize that those "cyclical dreams" in childhood all have one thing in common - becoming famous. Whether it's on stage or publishing a book, I want more people to know me, but I'm sure I don't enjoy the life under the spotlight, and I don't care about being famous. I simply want to share my insights with more people through being famous, and then gain new insights from their feedback (this is the motivation for me to write articles here again). Sharing what I know and believe with the public is my second dream. To realize my dream, I must persevere, continue to input, continue to output, and continue to explore.
My dream chasing list is mainly divided into: 1. What to learn; 2. What to experience; I would like to emphasize here that most of the things I listed on this list are intentions, that is, things that are not extremely specific. For example, if I want to learn teamwork, I will not write on the To-do List to participate in the school team, but write "I want to learn teamwork". In this way, when the general environment prevents me from participating in a certain activity, I will not give up the intention behind participating in the activity, so that I will lose one of the keys to open the door of my dream in the future. How are you used to making lists?
Protect your dreams, it is the strength that supports you to move forward.
Life is made up of trials and errors, and there is no fixed answer. This is also the greatest joy of being a human being. However, we who are lighter than a feather can easily be blown away by strong winds and get lost if we are not careful. Therefore, we should regard dreams as navigators and sincerely believe that appropriate intentions will lead us to the most suitable destination.
I was lucky that people around me never interfered with my choices, so the following excerpts are for readers who have too many voices around:
Only by not forgetting the original intention can we pursue our dreams and encourage each other.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
