When I say that I don't understand something, I'm not being humble, I really don't understand. I still want to share from the perspective of personal appreciation. For example, I read Sartre, Camus, or other literatures related to philosophy when I was in middle school, and I talk about literary appreciation rather than philosophy.

Milan Kundera once said that French literature is criticized for attaching too much importance to the idea rather than the story itself. He cited the works written by philosophical novels such as Camus, which are actually not worth reading, and I actually read them as literature and art, not completely I can't see his meaning in "The Plague" and "The Righteous". As an amateur in the literary world, I just appreciate it.

I said on LS the day before yesterday, "Why do people who really love to read books dare not admit that they read books, while those who don't really read books keep emphasizing what books they have read?" What I want to say is from a public relations perspective. If you want to create a " reading person", you don't need to repeat which books you have read, because the focus of public relations is to let others discover your "specialties", and others help to promote it.

Afterwards, I reflected on the fact that writing this post would make people feel like I was criticizing and emphasizing my own reading. But this text does not include people who don't try to create the image of a scholar.

So, this will be linked to the question mentioned literally "do people who really love to read books dare not admit that they read books"?

I think this sentence is mostly correct, after all, I once despised a well-known writer (a proper old Wenqing) for stressing that he read one book a day, and my feeling at that time was: "It's ridiculous, a literati still needs to say What books do you read?” It’s like you don’t say you’re good at writing, writing well, or reading all the time, these objective facts are seen by others.

Perhaps, I will have an expectation for the literati, that is: he should not show off.

He should read a lot of books, otherwise he won't be able to write such words; and if people who can't write such words, if they really read a lot of books, can't they see that there is still room for improvement?

For this reason, it seems that there are many people who actually read a lot of books, but are too embarrassed to admit that they do. But excluding me, I have always felt that my reading volume is indeed inferior to others.

I'm just an art lover

Those uncertain comments written are just an observation of oneself, sometimes connected to one's own experience and life, whether in literature, movies or albums.

I once wrote an article to describe myself as narcissism, but the real me is at best not inferior and comfortable, not reaching the level of narcissism. I have come a long way from inferiority complex to not inferiority complex. I can't remember the moment when I was enlightened to accept myself, but I still remember the feeling of inferiority when I was a child. Maybe some people use humility to describe this state—— Seeing each other for no apparent reason thinks the other person is smarter, prettier, and more powerful than me, even though most people say I'm smart and pretty, I thought it was comforting when I was a kid, I didn't see myself like that .

In the same way, up to now, I need to have a strong self-confidence that I can master a technology and ability. I think I am enough every time I do "inevitably", but there is definitely nothing that meets this standard— When there are mistakes in baking desserts, there are bound to be mistakes in writing articles - so I can't say that I can see things other than literature and art when I read.

At this moment, I just heard the lyrics in "There is no evening breeze in the summer night": Friends in the art circle live like office workers, and office workers are talking about art. I find it quite interesting.

Must see the author's idea from the text?

I have always believed that the writer's thoughts and ideas are in the text. If honest writing will naturally attract people of the same nature, you will lose some readers, and no one may be liked by everyone. If the writer's belief cannot be seen from the text, it may be that the reader has a problem with writing, or the writer has not written honestly.

Writing itself is a medium to express one's own values. If readers can't see it, it can be regarded as a literary reading, but there is no need to follow the writer's views on each single event. If you are not his readers, you may not be able to understand him. the central idea, but is it still necessary to explore it?

I think of Nabokov's response to literary critics' opinions on him. He said that if the critics are not authors who study at least three different countries and cultures, and each of them has more than three authors, then he does not need to respond to the critics' opinions. .

Writing this article is to give myself a shot. I often want to share my reading thoughts, write a special article or hide it in a miscellaneous talk. They are indeed real thoughts, but they are not professional discussions. It may be a comparison of my reading preferences. Hard while looking pseudo-professional.

In fact, the miscellaneous talk seems to be mixed by me without a logic, and there is no absolute connection from one point to another, but I usually talk about things related to creation. More here .
