read to the end of life

Reading is the most useless thing in the world.

Reading is the most useless thing in the world.

It wastes time. waste your money. Makes you unable to communicate with people. It even asks you to communicate and communicate with the dead. Sometimes, after reading a book, you don't even gain anything, and even because of the dark elements in it, you will feel depressed during the few days you read the book, as if there is a big dark cloud on your head. This rain of sadness makes people helpless.

Of course, there are times when reading is useful.

But relatively useless, useful reading, too little.

There are few things that make you doubt your life. It is better to cook, go shopping, have sex, sit at the bus terminal, or chat and nonsense with other unrelated people.

But there are always many of us who like to read.

Or, I can't say I like it. Purely trying to tell people, "Hey, I'm not an idiot, so I read."

This kind of language logic similar to Descartes' "I think, therefore, I am" is very interesting to think about. But more often, reading seems to show that we, as human beings, can make life better by absorbing knowledge through reading.

Sometimes, I can't help but think, the beggars, the old people, or the politicians who often say stupid things, or the dictators who we think are ridiculous, they're all people who read books, and some are very creative and also They wrote books, engaged in creation, forced others to read their books, and tried to influence a generation. Paradoxically, no one doubts that such brainwashing reading will cast a layer of dust on life.

It's not a good thing to read, it seems.

After reading so much, it is no different from ignorance, so why do you still read?

Is that what it says?

Maybe not.

If not, how should we respond?

I don't know, all I know is that I don't read for a day and I feel uncomfortable. I know that this is not something you are born with. You have to cultivate and expose yourself to more and more reading materials. Don't get dizzy when you see a tome. Don't get dizzy when you read Saramago's novels. Not to ask you to read "Reminiscence of the Years Like Water" and feel fear in your heart.

In this way, I walked step by step towards the road of no return to reading. This road of no return is not interesting at all, and even makes you very poor. But you are still willing to throw all your wealth and wealth into it without regret, so bold, so unscrupulous, and you overcome all difficulties without any worries.

However, the reality is cruel enough to make you miserable! Especially in the middle of every month, you will always find out how the number of deposits in the bank gives you such a headache! In the blink of an eye, the limited monthly salary has bottomed out? At this moment, you suddenly remembered that you bought a book about international trends that you saw at the beginning of the month. Later, when you saw a book about Wei and Jin literature, you couldn't help but pick it up. Later, I suddenly found that a certain author's complete works came out. The new packaging is beautiful and gorgeous, and the reading is more refreshing, especially the layout, the editing is really addictive. All right! No matter how expensive it is, it can't live up to the intentions of the publishers, editors, and the dead author. Take them all!

The cash was paid, the books were brought home, and you still haven't opened those books after half a month. They lie in the grave of the books you built. Like other books that haven't been read, the dust slowly spreads out, obscuring the words on the cover, and some attract silverfish. The silver fish swims leisurely at night, you dream of making a fortune in your dreams, but you don't know that your book property is being eaten bit by bit.

It reminded me of reading Ye Lingfeng's book many years ago. He was a bibliophile, and all his books in his later years were scattered. Many, many years ago, I have been admonishing myself that reading is useless and consuming life in vain. The more you read, the more you seem to be out of touch with the real world, making you feel like you're out of tune. For example, if you want to talk about something more in-depth, if you tell ordinary people, they may not understand or are not interested, and if you tell a scholar who has done research, you are not in-depth enough. If you talk too much, you will only feel that you have not read enough people. Too little knowledge, shame! Tell the writer, the writer only says, I only care about creating. Think about it, how annoying!

This book-related trouble, even if it accumulates in his own life, inexplicably, he bows his head as a slave and is willing to be abused. After being abused for a long time, it gradually loses the sense of being abused, and even enjoys it a little bit, and even helps it to say good things. So, month after month, year after year, I continue to linger endlessly with reading, buying books, reading, and buying books.

Is it useless to read? some. At the very least, it taught me what madness is and what's the bottom line of madness. Interesting to say, although I realized the importance of loose books a long time ago, I did disperse hundreds of books a while ago. The paradox is that they were filled back in from nowhere after a long time! This bad relationship with books and reading, I am afraid that it will be entangled until the end of life.
