In fact, I noticed this book, like many people, after I learned about the Scarlo filming. In fact, I started to pay attention to this book when I learned about the filming of Scarlo last year.

Until Scarlo was officially released, after watching two episodes, I decided to look for the original novel.

Of course, I knew in advance that the album is very different from the novel. In other words, the Luo Mei incident was changed for the first time in the novel, and it was adapted for the second time in the album, which changed a lot!

Therefore, novels and series can almost be regarded as two different works.

After all, the album isn't over yet, so I'll concentrate on discussing the novel here, although it will be a little bit on the side of the album.

The story is basically based on the historical fact "Luo Mei Incident". This bloodshed incident in Kenting actually affected the history of Taiwan for more than a hundred years. This is really unexpected!

Since there are a lot of historical materials (and there are many discrepancies), I will not go into details, but I strongly recommend that you search for relevant materials. This is not only for the completion of the story, but also for the study of Taiwan's history. It's something that is not mentioned in school textbooks at all.

The novel begins with the Luomei incident. First, the local Scarlo tribe felt unlucky because of the manslaughter of a woman, and secondly, there was panic among the three local tribes along the coast and they didn't know how to choose a side, and then there was the Qing government's Zangjian. With the anger and pride of the U.S. government. Speaking of which, no one really has a good life.

In this conspiracy, the author created a fictional character "Die Mei", which the author admits is a character that alludes to Taiwan, a multicultural woman who is struggling to survive in the world trend.

This fictional sister of the historical and humanistic "Pan Wenjie" has the same complicated background. She has a Hakka father and a Scarlo mother, lives in the Pingpu tribe, and most of her contacts are Holocaurs. She speaks four languages. Although she is a woman, During the Qing Dynasty, he did not tie his feet, but he studied medicine under the foreign medical management.

Various role conflicts are visible in her, but she is so low-key and tenacious.

This is a role that Taiwanese can identify with, after all, we have all experienced similar identification pulls.

Growing up during the martial law period, I was forced to be Chinese, but my parents and family suffered huge losses from the Kuomintang during the White Terror period (perhaps luckier than the persecution). My grandmother is the daughter of the chief family of the Siraya tribe. I was very cold about claiming to be Chinese, but I was forced to do so until I was able to "blatantly" say that I supported Taiwan's independence. .

But to feel that way, it takes history.

I can only say that I am lucky. My parents and families did not hide their family history, but I know that many Taiwanese people have no memory of their family's past life under different rulers.

So we need such historical novels, which are not just historical events, but the lives of little people. Although it is fiction, the spirit is not.

This is very important, "spirit," because that's where we identify ourselves.

That's why this album is very important. Although some people have some technical advice on the writing of novels or the shooting of albums, I think these advices ignore a key point, which is what the story conveys and whether the audience feels it.

At least I think so. Even my mother watched it three times in a row after it was released. The first time I watched it, it was a bit difficult to read the subtitles because I was too old, so I didn't know the plot until I watched it the second time, and then I watched it for the third time because I was moved.

As for the description of the novel is a bit trivial, there are too many filming transitions in the album, or the CG is not good enough, to be honest, it is not impossible to choose carefully, but in my opinion, it is not very important!

Because there is actually only one point, that is, "beautiful".

That's enough.

PS. I have been to almost all the story scenes. It’s a pity that when I went out, I didn’t know there were these historical stories at all, or I only knew part of them, and they were chopped up. I don’t know if they were related. This is really a pity, it seems that Find time to go to Kenting and play again. By the way, it seems that after the No. 7 Jiejiao, Hengchun will once again become a theater pilgrimage site, and other places have to work hard to revitalize tourism!

Looking from Guishan to the seaside of Sheliao, not far from the bridge is Chaicheng, to the right is Baoli, and upstream along the estuary is Tonglingpu, which is really full of history.
