Because the more episodes you watch, the more you realize that you won't understand it at all.

Most of the narrative techniques in this film are stream of consciousness. Each episode focuses on different stories and perspectives of different characters, advancing the plot in the form of a unit drama, but the use of large-scale montages makes it difficult for the audience to understand the logic of the plot. Often in some segments, you can vaguely guess the main theme behind, and each chapter echoes the main line between digressions and deductions. This way of expression is what I think is the most interesting part of this work. Even if it is often confusing and can't understand what Supervision Natsume Shingo wants to express, it makes people addicted to watching.

So frankly, it's hard to recommend this, because if you ask me what he's talking about, I can only ask myself with a black question mark: ah yes, what is he talking about?

He touched on a lot of issues such as thinking about the nature of human existence, the psychology of teenagers who want to resist the world, campus bullying, and the freedom of human will, and even quoted a lot of allusions in many episodes. So his content is all-encompassing and difficult to generalize. However, he always has parts that make you think.

Sonny Boy replaced him as my animation of the year. I can't imagine that there is another movie that can replace him this year. After all, he can already have at least 9 points in my mind. It depends on whether the ending can bring me more shock.
