I watched several movies in one go, related to Catholicism. When looking at the Pope's succession, there is a large description of Francis' past in Argentina. It can be seen that this has become a weakness that the Pope is often attacked. Therefore, I am particularly interested in the history of the Pope's coup in Argentina. I think it was this experience that made the Pope insist on many things.

But because I'm not familiar enough with the history of South America, I couldn't read it very well. I just happened to see this movie on CATCHPALY+, adapted from the biography of Francis (written by a journalist), I want to say that you can also learn more about the Pope through this movie.

I was expecting more descriptions of the Pope in the Argentine coup in the movie, but I was a little disappointed. …

The movie mentioned in many bridges, including the Pope himself, who said in many public places, "We are not building walls, we are building bridges." He also often emphasizes that he has to rely on the leather shoes under his feet to walk into the crowd, and the leather shoes are his network.

In the past few years, the Pope has gone farther and farther than the previous popes. He has also visited many other religious leaders and tried to get himself close to the people. I think he must have a blueprint in his heart that he wants to practice. Yes, he is a very active leader and an object of admiration.

When I watch this movie, I can't help but compare it to The Pope's Inheritance on Netflix.

The Pope's Inheritance is a relatively late movie. I guess the screenwriter may have read the Pope's biography, because there is not much difference in the description of Francis in the two films. They are generally praised in the same direction. Many of the views are the same. For example, in the Pope's succession, Benedict XVI said, "Just mention the wall and you are angry; the wall is very strong, it can protect us from foreign invasion." On the other hand, the pope Pope Francis said In the film, Fang Fang constantly emphasizes the importance of building bridges rather than building high walls. The most important thing is that Catholics must go out and communicate with the outside world.

I happened to watch other biographical films recently. Some people would say that if the protagonist in the film is still very active, if he shoots a biographical film, it will be a little too early to judge this person's life. Because of his performance outside the movie, there may be discrepancies when looking back at the records of the movie at the time, which happens to show that this person is not on the path of his original intention.

But I think this kind of comment is a bit too harsh. The record from any angle is your evaluation of the person you want to keep at the moment. Just through the records of images and words, we can wake up why we liked this person in the first place. Has this person really changed? Or have you changed yourself? It's just that you and he changed directions, they are no longer walking on the same path.

The most interesting thing for me is getting to know more about Pope Francis' thinking through different films. I don't want to have faith yet, but I like listening to the content of the sermons. In addition to being very wise, it also motivates me to imagine things from different angles when I think about them.

But on the whole, it is a pity. The angle of writing this film, and the face of Pope Francis, are too similar to the content of the Pope's succession. In terms of brilliance, it is far less than the Pope's succession.

In the future, research should be directed to other more oriented Catholic films, not just the role of the Pope.
