Travel Beauty - Boracay, Philippines
If you love the ocean, blue sky, white clouds, sunsets and tropical fruits, you must visit the Philippines to enjoy the deep charm of the Asian holiday paradise.
The Philippines is made up of more than 7,000 islands. Boracay is located in the central part of the Philippines and belongs to the Western Visayas.
How to get to Boracay?
Fly from Manila Airport in the capital of the Philippines to Caticlan Airport in Boracay.
Take a 3-wheel motorcycle (Tricycle) from Caticlan Airport to the pier, then take a crab boat (Banca) to Boracay (Cagban Jetty Port), and then take a 3-wheel motorcycle to your hotel. The whole journey takes about 1 hour.
- White Beach is the main tourist beach on the west side of Boracay. The total length of the beach is about 4 kilometers. Voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by the Lonely Planet travel book.
- Bulabao Beach is on the east side of Boracay Island and is the second largest tourist beach on the island. Compared with the lively white beach, the east side is quieter. This beach is also a surfer's paradise.
The sunset on Boracay is arguably one of the must-shoots for many tourists while on vacation on the island. Many wedding photo shoots also wait for the beautiful moment of sunset. If you stay a few more nights, you can feel the sunset sky with different shades of color, sometimes orange, blue-purple, red and pink. If you are lucky, you can listen to the serenade of the sea breeze every night.
May and June each year is a good time to plan to come to Boracay Island. Because it is not a peak season, some accommodation and travel itineraries will be promoted, and it is not yet the typhoon season, the weather is quite good.
There are many popular activities in Boracay, such as: water paddle, sailboat, snorkeling, parasailing, banana boat, diving, undersea walking...etc. Among them, helmet diving, as shown in the picture, is to put you on the bottom of the sea wearing a helmet to walk. The instructor is responsible for taking pictures and your safety. And you are responsible for smiling at the camera and feeding the fish. If you are afraid of fish or underwater creatures, you can still spend money to go into the sea and experience the moment of being frightened by the fish. 😆
Island Hopping is also a very popular activity. The coach will take a crab boat with you to snorkel with you. The fee usually includes lunch, life jackets and snorkeling tools.
In 2018, there have been serious environmental sustainability problems on the island.
In 2017 alone, more than 2 million tourists visited Boracay. Because of the large number of tourists, there must be garbage pollution in places where there are people, and some tourists lack public morality, which has led to the island being said: Now the beach has suffered as dirty as a sewer. The President of the Philippines once said: If you don't make some changes for Nagatan Island now, this tourist destination will not only be unsuitable for swimming in the future, but also unsuitable for human habitation.
Therefore, in April 2018, the Philippine government decided to close the island to solve the problems of sewage discharge and garbage disposal. Only half a year Boracay was cured. The 2019 Boracay sightseeing video is shared below. The uninhabited Boracay Island has reopened, and the rescued island is very beautiful. This reminds me that during the outbreak of the epidemic, there were fewer humans and less garbage in nature. Animals in the ocean came ashore one after another to breathe, and sea turtles also had more opportunities to go ashore to breed in large numbers. This may be the first time they have exclusive access to the beach! I hope everyone will respect the natural ecology, keep garbage from falling, and protect the earth.
Wait for me! Boracay, one of the post-pandemic travel lists.
