Everyone becomes a chef

Since the Easter holiday, people have been a little lazy (mystery voice: excuses! In fact, they have always been lazy!), whether it is work or other plans, they are stagnant, always lying in bed or playing with their mobile phones.

There is only one exception, which is cooking.

Even without home quarantine, I always cook three meals a day. Friends feel that I spend time and energy, and I enjoy it. Now that buying food and cooking rice has become the only reason to go out without feeling guilty, everyone is starting to do it.

According to unofficial statistics, everyone loves baked buns at home, and dry yeast is hard to find in London.

Eating well is a fundamental factor in a quality life. Westerners say "You are what you eat" really well. Since I was a child, my parents are most willing to spend money on food and knowledge, because no one can take away the things that are eaten and read into the brain.

Eating well does not mean that eating is expensive, it just requires more attention, planning and preparation in advance, and buying fresh and quality-assured ingredients. First, the nutrients in the food are not lost due to time, and secondly, the food can be eaten without adding too much seasoning. original flavor.

There is still no microwave oven in my hometown in Hong Kong, because my mother believes in the theory that "microwaves cause cancer". Although I don't resist the microwave, it's very foreign to me, and dipping hot milk is the only chance I get to get along with it. I know that microwave ovens are supposed to be a substitute for cooking food on an open flame, but I still can't accept the advanced concept of "put food in a box for three minutes and eat it". No matter how busy I am, I will not eat Western ready meal.

Refrigerated spaghetti and curry rice like this are everyday foods in the UK. There is actually sweet and sour chicken rice! I love to try everything, but I don't have to try things I know are hard to eat.

Recently, many friends have joined the ranks of chefs. From the beginning, they didn't know the noodles, to the three dishes and one soup. Recently, I have seen a lot of bread and even snacks on IG. Picking up the wok and shovel makes people think about food at the same time, what did we put in the entrance every day before? When eating out on the street, the thinking unit is usually the dish, and the thinking unit will be replaced with ingredients.

When outsourcing cooking, we will forget the chai, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, and tea in each plate of food, and we cannot see the truth of the food. Since I made it myself, I sometimes sneak a bite while chopping vegetables, oh, so that's what tomatoes taste like? Cooking it yourself can control the sweetness, sourness, bitterness, and spicyness 100%, and have a deep dialogue with your taste buds and stomach. Searching the Internet for recipes often yields unexpected surprises and is an excellent starting point for learning about other cultures. More spicy food in humid places, different cheeses from all over Europe, different grains in South American cuisine, the world is so big, I want to eat more.

In fact, there are more than kraft cheeses. The French have 10,000 kinds, and the Italians have 10,000 kinds. European countries only talk about their own cheeses to be authentic.

Over time, you will find that cooking is not so time-consuming, and it is more worthwhile in terms of effort and harvest.

Everyone is anxious under the epidemic, and it is said that various meditation courses are popular. For me, cooking is my daily meditation time, nothing is more comfortable than eating well; it is also the most intimate contact with nature, what can be inseparable than eating to the stomach𥚃?
