【Soul writing: When you feel anxious and confused, you can find the answer by talking to yourself】

Have you also had such experience: at work or in life, sometimes you suddenly feel very stressed and can't get enough energy when you want to do things; you may also have insomnia, tossing and turning in bed all night, but you can't sleep for a long time .

Maybe you can vaguely know what things or stressors are bothering you, but you can't tell exactly where the problem is and how to solve it?

Take myself for example, my usual bad habits are finger picking and foot shaking, and I find this is usually a reflex when I feel anxious or stressed. In addition, when you are anxious or stressed, your sleep effect is usually not very good, and you will often get tired when you get up with full sleep (the brain works frantically at night without rest).



So whenever I find that the frequency of my feet shaking greatly increases or the quality of sleep decreases, I probably know that there must be something bothering me during this period, but it may be a small matter, so it is not a big problem at first, but it will accumulate over time. It will affect the mind and then disturb the body.

Every time I observe a change in these details of my life, I will prevent the problem from getting bigger and bigger, and the way I am used to dealing with stress and anxiety is "soul writing".

Soul writing is actually very simple, and through writing you can better understand your current self and communicate with yourself, so as to find out the current problem and solve it.



Several steps and skills of soul writing

Prepare

1. When you realize that your body is in a bad state recently due to stress or anxiety, you can take a day off to give yourself time to relax and rest (through mindful breathing, meditation, exercise, etc.) ).

2. After relaxing, arrange a quiet time and place, sit at the desk by yourself, and prepare paper, pen or computer.

3. You can have a writing ritual of your own, like meditating for five minutes before you start, or drinking a glass of hot milk. The purpose is to get you into the situation.

4. Start writing: Write down what is currently bothering you or happening.

5. Rules: Write whatever comes to your mind, regardless of the rules of writing, it doesn't matter if you make a typo. Explore your deepest thoughts and feelings, tell the truth and tell your story. (Only you have a dialogue with your deep self, don't worry about other people's eyes)

6. In the process of writing, you should find that you are slowly discovering what problems are bothering you recently, as if everything is getting clearer and more relaxed. Please continue to maintain this rhythm and write out your deepest feelings.

7. When you feel like you have nothing to write about, stop and review the conversation you had with yourself today. Try to circle a recent problem, and you should find the source of your anxiety and stress.

8. Finally, make a list of these problems and try to write down the solutions.



Believe me, when you find a problem, your brain is very smart and will start thinking about how to solve it, and it will eventually be solved. The focus is on "discovering the problem and having a dialogue with yourself".

Many people's long-term accumulation of troubles has caused psychological pressure, often because they always feel that it is a trivial matter, so there is no need to face it and solve it. The brain doesn't try to solve a problem without realizing it, but it still haunts us.

That's why "knowing yourself" is so important. Only through deeper self-communication can you find your own problems. Of course, you can also go out to find friends to chat with, but you must not know yourself better than yourself.

I have tried soul writing quite a few times, and every time I am stuck with a bunch of things and find myself, I will try to take a day off to let myself be free and talk to myself. When I write down all the questions, I always feel half comfortable in my heart, which is very helpful.

Recently, some things have been stuck for a long time and cannot be executed smoothly, and some small things have caused the pace of life to be chaotic. Hurry up and find a day of "soul writing" to find the deepest self, understand what you really want, and take a rest for a while. Keep going!
