The train running on the Guangdong-Haizhou Railway was dismantled into four sections at Haian South Station in Xuwen, and then transferred to the Strait Railway ferry from Beigang Wharf. After arriving at Hainan Nangang Wharf, it was reconnected and introduced into Haikou Station, which is the first in China. The first cross-sea railway ferry, simply put, is that the train and the passengers in the car take a boat to cross the Qiongzhou Strait and arrive at Hainan Island.

Xuwen, one of the important departure ports of the Maritime Silk Road in the Han Dynasty, now plays another extremely important role.

Xuwen, one of the departure ports of the Maritime Silk Road in the Han Dynasty, is now an important station for trains and ferries of the Guangdong-Haizhou Railway.

At 9:59 pm on August 5th, I took the Z111 sleeper through train from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Haikou Station. This train started from Harbin and went all the way from the north of the border to the south of the border, Hainan Island.


After the train arrived in Guangdong, it entered the tracks of the Guangdong-Haizhou Railway. This important railway, which has been compared to the "lifeline of Hainan Island", created a landmark revolutionary project in the history of Chinese construction, just like the ancient port of Xuwen a thousand years ago. The traveler rode the wind and waves to the distance, bringing back countless treasures and voyages.

I staggered to take a nap on the train and woke up early. The train arrived in Xuwen at around 6:00 in the morning. I always prepared a camera and a tape recorder in order to record this great traffic miracle. Seeing me trembling with fear, the elder brother of the conductor talked with me for a long time before waiting for the dismantling of the train. He also told me a lot of details about the dismantling of the train, and he made room for me to shoot.

Luckily, the tenth carriage I was in happened to be the head of one of the train's dismantling sections, and I was able to record the interesting dismantling process: the eighteen-car train was dismantled into four sections, two of which were dismantled. Sections are four stanzas, and the other two paragraphs are five stanzas.

It is like a modern traveler from an urban hillbilly who recorded everything about the Guangdong-Haizhou Railway and Xuwen Ancient Port with his voice. The train ferry quietly sailed to Haikou Port, and this journey of the Maritime Silk Road also came to an end without knowing it.
