[The skills that have been honed for many years are most easily replaced by machines?]

In 1997, the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue defeated the then world chess king Kasparov (Deep Blue can calculate 200 million moves in one second); in 2016, the AlphaGO artificial intelligence defeated the professional Go master.

These cases show that machines can easily outperform humans in benign learning environments (with little change, especially in the fields of statistics and experience).

That is to say, if your current job content is highly repetitive, and is very personal experience and professional, but does not require high creativity or integration, the chances of being replaced by intelligent machines in the next 10 years are high.

[Computers are not omnipotent: creativity and integration can turn humans into victory]

However, another interesting point is that artificial intelligence still can't beat the human players of "StarCraft".

This is a real-time strategy game. The game involves a lot of complex decisions (much more than playing chess), such as building, finding resources, killing enemies and sieging cities, etc., a series of interlocking links.

This kind of game that needs to consider a variety of situations and requires long-term adjustment of strategies, human beings have a chance of winning.

This means: "Humans can be bad at a single level, but when they have a concept and integrate them, they're great". Our greatest strength is the opposite of narrow professionalism, but the ability to integrate widely.

【in conclusion】

Pursuing professionalism and specialization is very correct, but in different eras, there may be different strategic thinking, especially when we are now in AI and computers have much more powerful computing power than us.

How to start developing to breadth while possessing depth, and combining concepts in different fields to propose innovative solutions to problems, is definitely a skill that young people most need to have in the next 10 years!

Let’s talk about it later, how does “thinking by analogy” make a significant contribution to human beings!
