We want to build Taiwan's public ecosystem with web3 tools!

In addition to wanting to build generative art that will stand the test of time, we also want to implement a web3 public good model that will continue to work. Not for sustainability, but for automatic operation, called Decentralized Automation Organization (DAO), or FAB DAO (Formosa Art Bank).

The fuel for operation comes from the Baiyue Project (Project %)

Baiyue plans to issue a total of 10,000 NFTs (named %). Each NFT is a mountain, drawn by code, and each one is different! These mountains are created by six of Taiwan's top generative artists (Dr. Bao said: Taiwan's golden lineup), and they are still in the blind box state. These <%>, the asking price is less than NT$1,000, and the initial capital of about 9 million yuan can be obtained after all sold out. Artist partners are very supportive and only charge 10%. And our other working partners don't take a cent from it, and we will find another way for our own expenses.

These funds will enter the public treasury and be jointly governed by the holders of <%> (DAO friends for short), which can be imagined as a Metaverse Foundation, where each donor is a member of the board of directors; or a Metaverse cooperative, each Individuals are members.

Can you imagine a board of directors consisting of thousands of people? It must have been a noisy conference room. At present, many DAOs use many novel and convenient governance tools, and only hope to achieve the best efficiency under the greatest consensus. Such as Liquid Democracy, Quadratic Voting, Court Trial System, etc.

And FAB DAO hopes to practice and research the public ecosystem of web3 together with the most partners. It's okay even if the initial chaos is chaotic, the spirit of FAB DAO will blossom and bear fruit in the long run, which is an experiment of "digital government" belonging to social innovation.

These DAO friends currently seem to be composed of three types of people, donors, actors, and coordinators, all three are indispensable. Sophisticated donors are well aware of the value and operation mode of the NFT market; actors create spiritual value through specific actions, such as non-profit workers, advocacy actions, and art and cultural groups; coordinators plan and match, which is essential in the early stage behind the scenes messenger.

I hope that our small group of initial operations (currently called the working kitchen) will keep cooking behind the scenes, and the best actors are the ones who have to wear the laurels. Through more than a dozen large and small initial projects, we have accumulated a lot of experience. During the process, we also formed gangs and found many organizational partners to form the DAO public alliance.

The Russian-Ukrainian war taught us that cryptocurrencies and NFTs can quickly and effectively make donations, and only need a trusted smart contract. FAB DAO is prepared to become a "resilience building", doing good deeds in peacetime and responding urgently in times of war.

Performance art godmother Marina. Abramović told us that even 76 years old can still jump into the world of web3 and use his power to help nonprofits in action. Although FAB DAO is not famous, we can start from nothing and get to the end step by step. Just like the pioneering foundation in the web1 era, and the g0v (zero-hour government) in the web2 era (Isabel said: g0v is the earliest decentralized organization), no one knows where the future is from the beginning.

The experience of pressing the national flag of the thread ball has taught me that "memetics" is an important field in the future, which is based on the basis of copywriting and the analysis of public opinion. Only by mastering the memes can you complete a charitable project or strengthen any initiative. Tang Feng said that the best way to resist fake news is the "psychological vaccine". Memes are inseparable from the web3 community. FAB DAO wants to create a good meme weapon, and realize social benefits.

The Disappearing Family NFT cooperated with Mr. Chen Wuzhen. We found that web3 is more accepting of artworks from the White Terror period than the contemporary art market. After hundreds of people collected, understood and discussed the past, we even completed the Metaverse Transformation Justice Fund. Is gaining momentum and international standards. FAB DAO uses a new model to escape the mainstream society and achieve the benefits of "multiple innovation".

We have also created a seed art fund (Supporter.tez) to help more than 70 creators easily cross the threshold of web3, and even allow more artists to successfully earn a lot of income through NFT, of course, there is no lack of kindness to donate to us artist. The three generative artists even donated a large amount of money to us in the co-creation action. We set up the Asian NFT Art Collection Fund with this donation, and are listing the emerging Asian artists for collection. This is a purely public collection action.

A while ago, I completed Kng NFT with the Beijing Normal University Art Museum and the contemporary echo team of "Light"; then, in response to the epidemic, we cooperated with Taipei Art Village to implement Taiwan's first on-chain virtual village "Taipei Imagination"; Media artists practice the web3 artist ecosystem with the assistance of the National Arts Association. This is something I could not have imagined a year ago. FAB DAO is doing something that is not profitable in the short term, but culturally meaningful in the long run.

FAB DAO has also done a book ticket NFT to initially explore the feasibility of decentralized publishing and e-book exchange. And we're going to have a real "decentralized publishing" experiment with Mr. Gao Reconstruction next month! The cultural publishing industry is far away from me, but I still want to build the infrastructure first for the foreseeable future, which is what FAB DAO wants to do.

Recently, we also completed a "waterfall public welfare acquisition model", which allows non-profit organizations to learn to issue successful NFT projects without taking too much risk of failure. The best part is that the source of funds for the model comes from donations from NFT project parties. We have successfully grafted the metaverse community with real-life organizations, and also brought the love of hundreds of donors.

Finally, in the past six months, we have completed dozens of lectures, ranging from the richest people in Taiwan to the organizations that need the most money in Taiwan. This is a field based on the size of the island, and we have already acted. Thank you for your support from the public welfare sector, the new creative sector, and the arts and culture sector. These exchanges are super-compressed personal experiences, and I really learned a lot.

The above large and small projects are completed only with passion and practical spirit, and these experiences have developed a solid web3 methodology. However, we know that the next larger projects need more sophisticated contributors, and contributors need funds, so we started the "Baiyue Project".

History does not take one hundred steps forward by one person, but one step forward by one hundred people. DAO is a collective practice of "democratic network", where people do not just passively receive information, but actively engage in actions, participate in voting, and achieve consensus. This is not a mental vaccine, it is a mental retraining. Those who have completed the training will definitely have a deeper understanding of democratic deliberation.

In the past, FAB was the abbreviation of the Maker Movement (Maker), and its name symbolized the joint creation of a public autonomous organization. FAB now means Fabulous, everyone is great, let's come to the Art Bank to be rich in spirit.

Credit in the past was based on wealth, and I think credit in the future is based on verifiable social influence. FAB DAO named Bank is a credit rating agency that wants to be "social capital".
