Is coffee an art?
Is coffee an art? Many coffee fans will probably answer yes without hesitation. Why?
"If you just want sweetness, why not add sugar?"
"If you want to pursue a fruity taste, is it better to eat fruit?"
"Just because one or two flavors are not common, how many times the price?"
Speaking of wine, which is similar to coffee, the abbot also drank it occasionally. Heard something that feels similar to coffee.
(In the author's sect, drinking is allowed as long as you are not drunk and do not do bad karma because of alcohol.)
If the difference between one hundred yuan and two or three hundred wine is 10, then the difference between two or three hundred and five hundred is about 8. And the difference between five hundred and one thousand may be 5.
In other words, even if the price keeps rising, the gap will narrow. To illustrate with an example, suppose you have 6,000 yuan to buy wine. When both 4,500 and 6,000 yuan wines are opened for you to drink at the same time, the difference between the 1,500 yuan you drink does not mean that you agree with the difference. It's worth 1,500 yuan. You might think it's better to buy one for $4,500 and then one for $1,000 and one for $500.
It’s also important to note that it’s not just the taste that affects the price itself, it’s the same with coffee.
Coffee is a complex beverage, and the elements that make up a cup of coffee, such as sweetness, acidity, and body, can be evaluated with objective scores. For example, with a sweetness of 7 points, other than high sweetness, what other similar flavors are there? The sweetness of the fruit is like the sweetness of that kind of fruit? If you are given a drink, can you be sure to give an accurate score to include the sweetness of low, medium, and high? Acidity too.
If you write about the flavor, well, let's say fruity. Tropical fruits, stone fruits, berries? If it is a raspberry, what kind of red raspberry, blueberry, strawberry and blackberry? Or two or three? A little bit of cranberries? The main axis is strawberry? Or become like berries? immature? Mature? Overripe?
Are there any flaws? Unripe grassy, grainy flavours from roasting? Overcooked burnt or roasted toasty? The damper is too dry? Astringent with insufficient drying time? The woody taste of old kidney beans? Or some factors in the raw beans themselves produce bad taste?
What about the taste? As heavy as milk or as light as water? Tea-like? Juicy Juicy Juicy? Smooth or even silky? Or rough and dry?
The abbot who has been in contact with coffee a lot and his English is so poor that he can get a (abs) in the test will also feel that he is forced to improve. If you want to improve your English, go to a coffee shop to work or study coffee is an option.
Coffee is also a troublesome drink. Bean quality, roasting, machine, water, brewing, and many other factors can affect taste. Each factor is not discussed in detail here. Of course the reality of coffee is...
Raw beans are limited by bean species, land, and processing methods, roasting is limited by the state of raw beans, and brewing is limited by the roasted cooked beans. If the water is not used properly, the equipment is not good, and the finished product will be discounted at the end. The layers of frameworks are restricted, and the layers of relationships are closely intertwined. Finally, a cup of coffee exudes aroma in front of you. Coffee is a drink with such an essence.
If there is a difference of one point in each link, the accumulated gap may be as much as four or five points in the end! That "slight" gap is perhaps the cutest and scariest thing about coffee.
So sweeter? A little more flavor? A little bit of fruit? The final price is more than that but not a problem? As the saying goes, the difference is a thousand miles away. In 2016, the difference between the first and second wbrc was 0.08 points, and everyone knows the 46-stroke method, but not many people know that the second is just the rush method of kenya and the daily shop to play the game. So 46 strokes or expensive 90+ wins? As a result, the daily punching method and the absolutely available kenya are only 0.08 points away from the game 46 and the expensive 90+, and they lose 0.08 points, and that's it.
Perhaps, the madness of chasing that "little" difference is precisely the charm of coffee.
Extending purely from this sinking, I do agree that coffee is an art.
