A Few Questions To Ask About God, I Mean, Ask Yourself First (5)
We have discussed several issues, but in fact there are many more, so be patient.
So today we're going to talk about a tough question.
"Why is there suffering in the world?"
It's a wonderful question, and usually people who deny God say it, so it's a really good question, and with a lot of sadness, it's "How I wish there was a God who could solve these problems."
Okay! The question is probably a little more interesting for Buddhists, they're thinking about how to get out of it all, so they do a lot of assumptions about why the world is in such a mess -- yes, I say assumptions, like I wrote The setting is the same in the novel, but the artificial setting is used to explain the truth of the universe, which is really whimsical...
Then there is a guy, or rather, there are many such guys in history, because "figured it out", so he ran away and no longer suffered.
In fact, this is no problem. There is a guy named Enoch in the Bible who just left, and there is another Elijah. Even Jesus had to die before he was resurrected, but these two guys never had a chance to die.
In short, many people feel that there are indeed many sufferings in life, and then hope that someone can help them solve it, whether it is a god or a certain Buddha to teach him how to run away, in short, it is good to be able to solve it, otherwise at least There is hope, such as "the next life will be better".
But no matter what religion it is, it has its own explanation (or no explanation at all) for why there is suffering in the world. After all, that is the part that religion has to deal with (listen, religion has to deal with it, not God has to deal with it), and we Basically, the distinction is made in this way. It is God who helps you, and the devil who harms you, and the purpose of believing in God is to ask God to solve your problems.
No problem, this kind of starting point is really good. Although I mentioned it last time, you need God, but God does not need you, so God wants to help you? Or, can God be bought?
Both of them want the first place in the exam, so who should be the first?
Have you noticed that there are actually other questions behind this series of questions. For example, if you ask why there is suffering in the world, then I ask why God should help you? Or "Why shouldn't there be suffering?"
Yes, this question is very interesting, because Christians are especially easy to ask this question, just because God said the world is good, most other religions will not pay special attention to this focus, most other religions think the world is inherently bad.
In fact, from the Christian point of view, the world is not rotten from the beginning, but it was once perfect!
With that said, can you imagine a perfect world? Yes, many people also say that he can't imagine it, and even think that heaven is scary, because they can't imagine a world that is static and has no surprises.
However, this is not everyone's ideal world? The door is not closed at night, there is no birth, old age, sickness and death. To put it bluntly, what you are asking and thinking is not such a state of "Nirvana". How to talk about the Christian heaven is suddenly unimaginable.
Didn't I say that God's revelation is universal? The visions of the world after death are very similar all over the world. Even for those who believe in reincarnation, the ultimate ideal is to jump out, right?
So why is there suffering in the world? To put it bluntly, isn't it that we are not working hard enough? All religions are not all about human effort. No matter what kind of effort it is, it is all about trying to meet the religious requirements. In the end, there will be a perfect world waiting for you. Even if you think of yourself as a god or not, it is what the world should do. What counts as beautiful, just depends on what he means.
And what Christianity seeks is not an afterlife, but an effort to "let the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Of course, why didn't you say that there was no suffering in the beginning...you were right in the beginning! Suffering comes later, and you say why doesn't God deal with it... Are you sure that's what you want? I mean, weren't you just complaining to me that heaven is boring?
What about your free will ? don't you want?
