Recently, there was a sudden flash flood in the water-playing spot "Longzaogou" in Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province, China. The river swelled so fast that many tourists who played in the water could not react in time to escape and were swept away by the water, resulting in serious casualties.

It is difficult to predict the flash flood before it happens, and it has already rushed to the front when it is discovered, but there are still signs that can be prevented. Just like the "Longzaogou" incident, it was originally used for flood discharge, but it was blocked by barbed wire and there was a sign prohibiting the entry of water. In fact, if everyone has a sense of safety, don't be so stubborn or think that they will not be so "lucky" to meet, and there will be fewer sad events.

Speaking of flash floods, I had one too many years ago. That should have happened seven or eight years ago. At that time, I went to climb the mountain with a group of seven or eight friends. I remember that it had been raining for several days before we went. It was noon after we climbed the mountain. We decided to go to the waterfall in the middle of the mountain to play in the water. After about half an hour of playing, it must have been God’s blessing. My ancestors were virtuous. Because I couldn’t swim, I sat on a stone and soaked my feet in the water. At that time, the water only reached my calf. After half an hour, I was shocked to find that the water had passed over my calf, and the water flow started to be faster than before. I felt that something was wrong and dangerous. I quickly told the oldest among us. My eldest brother also felt that there was a problem in this situation, so he called everyone to leave the waterfall and go up. Just after we climbed up to a safe place, a flash flood broke out in less than a minute.

If it was a second slower, or if nothing was found, seven or eight of us might have been swept away. Looking back on it now, I still feel terrible, I really thank God for blessing.
