As a validator of Chihuahua, I use Osmosis to get in and out a little HUAHUA every month. In order to be able to transfer/transfer some CEX for trading, I occasionally exchange HUAHUA and UST. However, every time I change, I always feel a bit of a loss, because every time I convert UST to HUAHUA in Osmosis, OSMOSIS helps you convert UST to Osmosis/ATOM first, and then convert Osmosis/ATOM to HUAHAU, so you There is a handling fee of 0.2% + 0.2$.

but! A new pool has recently appeared in Osmosis: Pool#663 . Finally, you can directly convert HUAHUA to UST! The emergence of this pool was created by the selfless efforts of community members. After all, it takes 100OSMO to build a pool (see Daisy's article for details)....Most people shouldn't want to pay this amount, but he really has love for HUAHUA .

When this pool appears, I will try to exchange some UST with HUAHUA. Strange things happened:

Why is the Swap Fee still 0.2%+0.2%? Then, I went to Pool #663's page to take a look:

It turns out that the liquidity of the HUAHUA/UST pool is very low, only the equivalent of $6314. Compared with the pools of HUAHUA/OSMO and UST/OSMO, it is simply not worth mentioning.

I guess it is Osmosis's program setting. If you change directly on the Trade page, you will not use the HUAHUA/UST pool, so you have to pay 0.2% + 0.2% handling fee.

Then... I try to change it directly in the 663 pool:

it is good! That's it. The Swap Fee has changed back to 0.369% (in other words, why should this be set high...) , but another problem has arisen, the Estimated Slippage is quite high. If you change 9000HUAHUA, you will have about 0.5% slippage. If you change more, it will seriously affect the currency price.... (It turns out that it is not difficult to control HUAHUA)

Therefore, DAO proposes to provide external incentives to the HUAHUA/UST pool, just like HUAHUA/ATOM and HUAHUA/OSMO, but does not require internal incentives. Hope this can attract people to inject liquidity. (For providing liquidity, please refer to @Reading Bi Geng's article ). The method is as follows:

1) Draft Motion (Completed)
2) Propose a proposal to the Chihuahua community and achieve consensus (SF RES Land just submitted the proposal on behalf of me, the content was not written by me. Completed)
3) Submit a proposal to Osmosis
4) After passing, wait to pass Osmosis's weekly Semi-Automatic Incentive Adjustments proposal

The external incentives of HUAHUA/UST will be officially launched! Expect it to take about two to three weeks to complete the process. (The voting period for the HUAHUA proposal is 5 days, and the voting period for Osmosis is 3 days, and then we have to wait for the weekly proposal, which is about three weeks at the fastest....should)
