In March of this year, the wetlands had an exhibition for only two days, exhibiting NFTs created with AI. This is the first crypto art collection exhibition in Taiwan, titled "Do Machines Dream of NFTs?" ", the exhibits are all the collections of Volume DAO members.

Why was the exhibition prepared for two months and only on display for two days? Because of limited budget.

At this point a group of people lend a hand, they are ARTOGO. They came to scan the exhibition hall to make an online exhibition. You can walk around freely, or follow the guided tour to see the exhibition.

Virtual exhibits, real exhibitions, are now back in virtual space.

But the difference is that the permutation and combination of curatorial arrangements give rise to a situational flavor.

If the exhibit is a black box, it's God Mode.

And therefore I found a better experience,

There is a lot of information about the exhibition that I didn't understand at first;
The exhibits that were originally only in English are now introduced in Chinese;
The exhibition, which was originally only for two days, can now be viewed indefinitely.

If I am a lazy person (I am), there are online exhibitions, I must start shopping online first, I really like it, and I will go to the venue after doing my homework.

Just like now I must first buy the e-book, I really like it, I really want to read it again, and then I will buy the physical one.

Who else goes to a concert now, then buys an album, and then listens to an online stream?

If there is a catalogue of "Light", I must read it first before going to the Beijing Normal University Art Museum. (Damn show is over) (Fortunately ARTOGO also has scanning light)

NFT is a medium with thousands of display forms. Robots dreaming of NFTs is a very early attempt. Will machines dream of NFTs?

Back to the serious introduction (this article was written on the eve of the exhibition)

I wonder if you have seen the NFT exhibition in the physical world?

Is it a monkey print with an astonishing floor price, telling how the Metaverse is in full swing (Buddhist language: the last flower); or a contemporary art that vacates the cage for the bird from the physical world, hoping for a gorgeous turn, but falls on the hotel TV screen; or Laser projection open-air party NFT exhibition?

NFT is a blank piece of paper, and the magnificent news occupies most of it. I don’t need to say more. I thank these predecessors for their efforts to bring NFT into the public eye. The news is so hot that I'm starting to worry that they'll make you resist.

Bitterness in the distance - "That's a rich man's toy!"

The NFT that really interests me is the story that was born slowly from the corner.

For example, I wrote TeleNFT a while ago, and a German art group used the old technology TeleText to draw low-resolution NFTs and project them to satellite TV stations; I also wrote about the stylized works in Shrimp Dad's current solo exhibition "Border of Chaos" in the North American Pavilion. It is logical to cast it into NFT; not to mention the current exhibition "Gaia" in the Contemporary Pavilion, Huang Xin and Aran's NFT works are discussing the essence of NFT, you must "interact" in order to "quality change".

My own work "Bright Lamp" exhibited at Treasure Rock also used the transactional nature of the NFT world to discuss the precious "trust" with the community.

NFT is a blank piece of paper, some people turn the paper into gold, some people twist the paper and smile.

What I want to recommend today is an exhibition organized by a group of poor lunatics at their own expense, and there is no admission fee. Why recommend it? Because I'm one of those lunatics too.

All the works in this exhibition are NFTs, which is not uncommon; these NFTs are all collected by us, which is not bad; but these collections are all made by "artificial intelligence" tools, which is definitely the first in Taiwan It's hard to say, and whether it will happen again in the future.

You could say this is an exhibition that explores the medium.

Take NFT as paper, AI algorithm as ink, artist as pen, and endless database as inkstone.

I still wake up from a dream of the bell of a business jet. Artists enslave AI. Will an overworked AI dream of NFTs?


There are two kinds of technical arts that just follow NFT, one is GEN and the other is GAN.

It would be very interesting if the two could be exhibited in the physical world, and we have plans for both.

GEN is Generative Art, I have written many articles, of course they have a wave in the market, and there are many good players in Taiwan.

GAN is a part of AI art, Generative Adversarial Network, I wrote an article explaining it. From Zhang Mingyao's attempt, I will introduce to you why GAN and NFT are made in heaven. The emergence of new GAN tools has even brought out-of-reach tools into the homes of ordinary people.

The weekend's exhibition, with a total of 33 works, is titled "Do Machines Dream of NFTs?" 》

We take the name of PKD's classic novel "Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?" ” (actually the real meaning should be that androids want to have electronic sheep?), so our exhibition name may also have to be changed to “Do machines want to have NFTs? 》

10 overseas NFT artists and 2 Taiwanese NFT artists are all temporary choices. It can even be said that these artists just cover the history of AI art and technology development so far. (The works of Zhang Mingyao I wrote are also among them: Machines and Artists Created with Collective Minds)

Artists start from using a small database to create a small neural network, whichever iterative graphic style is used to try. The earliest pioneer is Mario Klingemann, and we have an exhibition.

Then the database is getting bigger and bigger, static, continuous, high-resolution, and even dynamic GAN works have a plot mood; by the emergence of Prompt last year, the AI magic claws extended from the visual form to the creative content, and you can use words to reverse the creation; Then, the boundless digital database of all mankind appeared, and all text labels were human consensus.

This exhibition is not even just visual, but also AI NFT with natural semantic analysis of poems and dialogues.


The above exhibits include the Memo Akten octopus that I have been thinking about in the past, Ivona Tau's street view database AI works, Vadim Epstein's psychedelic projects, Ganbrood's sanctuary, Nikita Panin's cult meat forest, Helena Sarin's AI vegetable food, Cave Allegory by Professor Matthew Plummer-Fernandez, Delicate AI Bubbles by Mike Tyka, Erotic AI Oil Painting by Ilya Shkipin.

In addition, Taiwanese artist Lai Zongyun used the aboriginal portrait database to create a common ancestor, and Zhang Mingyao used the prompt word project to repeatedly refine and create the Last Supper in the future. Personally think it has a local flavor.


I only contributed two of the above works, the others are treasures of art/collection seniors. These seniors now form Volume DAO . I can only say that their collections make me drool, and I take their saliva for a living.

AI is suitable for NFT, because digital native tools are naturally easy to become digital goods, and the large-scale sales of digital goods allows more creators to invest, and the technology is constantly updated iteratively. NFT is developing at the speed of light, and AI is not too much to let go. Does the combination of the two exceed the speed of light?

Therefore, it is definitely enjoyable to watch this exhibition. You will find that the years of these exhibits are very new. That is because the entire GAN development history is only a few years old, but there are a lot of excellent works. Living in our generation is really happy, and you can collect artistic products with both humanistic foundation and cutting-edge technology at the click of a finger.

In addition, the above exhibitors have only one thing in common, they are all Tezos NFT, so cheap, cool and unimaginable. Can you say Tezos isn't charming? .
