Park Chan-wook's new work "Resolve to Break Up" is confusing and intriguing from beginning to end. After the movie ended, I was still thinking about the clues in the story, and I was afraid that I had missed some details. A movie that the brain appreciates.

The story tells that police detective Park Hae-il meets Tang Wei, the wife of the deceased while investigating a bizarre suicide case. The woman who keeps emphasizing that she is from China and cannot speak Korean exudes an unusual charm, which not only makes the police gradually relieved Defense, almost unable to extricate themselves, affecting life. Although there is no shocking bloody violence this time, Tang Wei's moving performance has become the focus of the film, but I think what is really amazing is that Park Zanyu blends various styles, and uses the mountain and sea scenery that is completely natural to the plot to concoct a clever and strange suspense. The effect, he won the Best Director of the Cannes Film Festival with this work, which is indeed well deserved.

What the movie makes the audience think about is the delicate relationship between the male and female protagonists. Although it is called "the determination to break up", whether the two are considered a pair of lovers, why did they "break up" in an extremely unbelievable way, it really leaves the audience very surprised. There is a large space for imagination, and the director's brilliance is also in that the point is stopped, so that everyone can understand it for themselves.

In some interviews, Park Chan-wook emphasized that this is a 100% search drama and 100% love drama. I think it is commendable that he is famous but strives to innovate and does not repeat his previous successful routine. In the story, the male and female protagonists show their determination to break up in the most direct way they think is the most direct way. The kind of tactility and determination are unexpected. Regarding determination, do what you want, action is better than everything, and there is absolutely no meeting without meeting. Resolve, decide not to do it, do it but not fruitful.

When I saw the ending, I felt quite uneasy. On the one hand, I imagined the determination to never look back. On the other hand, I hoped for a miracle to turn things around, and then I recalled every bit of the relationship between the two. This so-called aftertaste lingers, and there is no taste in my heart.
